Southern Moon Cafe — Restaurant in Chesnee

Went Saturday with two other family members but wasn't able to really eat the meal together because our food was brought out at different times and it took a very long time to get it but didn't really think it was a big deal because it was their first week being opened. The waitress we had was amazing though! Went by this morning on the way to work to get breakfast for the office and asked for cinnamon rolls and they didn't have any. That wasn't a big deal so I asked for Chocolate Croissants. The girl at the front said they would just have to drizzle the melted chocolate on them and it would be a few minutes. After 40 minutes I finally got them and they looked like smashed pieces of toast, were a little hard and tasted old. I had, had high hopes that I would be there often since they are right up the road from my house but will have to seriously think...

First time checking out Southern Moon.

One word, Fan-freaking-tabulous!!!

The staff, Dustin, Daniel, Courtney and the Chef, Dustin Jr. were consummate professionals!

They answered all my questions, were quick to make suggestions and the conversation made me feel like part of the family!

Oh yeah, right, this is a restaurant....Let me tell you about the food! I had the chicken and waffles and ate every bite! The accompanying sauces were fantastic and the sides were stellar! They are open all day and into the night. Just what this sleepy little town needs! This is THE spot to fill your belly in Chesnee SC!

Oh, and I forgot, there is a rumor going round that they may be offering libations once they acquire the licensing. If you like to partake, I'm sure they'll be bringing some great new brews to the area for you to enjoy!

Not usually one to do this, but me & some other girls went this saturday morning. it was 10:40, they ended breakfast at 10:30. We sat for almost an hour before getting our food, when we did get it, it was absolutely awful. The mac & cheese, was nasty. Not homemade and 100% a box brand. the baked beans, came straight out of a can not even seasoned or anything. the chicken and waffles were very bland. the service, was not the best…. we complained about the mac and cheese and the excuse was “i’m sorry, when you guys got here we didn’t really have time to switch over to lunch so we had to throw everything together but i will let the cook know.”

like i said, im not usually one to do this and i usually give grace to places especially it being so new but the experience overall...
