Bill's Luncheonette — Restaurant in Chester Township

Updated: Back to 5 stars!! I commend Bills for taking corrective action. They clearly listen to their customers and their reviews. The service and attitude has clearly been addressed and has improved markedly. Its refreshing to see an establishment care to improve. Its very rare these days. Thank you!!

Best pancakes you will ever have...no doubt about it. Service was good... but has gone downhill. I called to order take out. The phone rang and rang until someone picked it up and immediately hung up. I called back and nobody answered. I figured I'd just go and order there. As soon as I got there, I saw the problem. The young girl working looked about as miserable as you could be. I was ignored upon entering. She did take the time to acknowledge and hug her friend. When she finally took my order I got to see her ignore other guests trying to pay. The guy working with her came over and helped those people. She then proceeded to stand there cleaning silverware while my order was sitting on the counter, two people were waiting to pay, and the phone was ringing. When she was done cleaning every piece of silverware, she grabbed my order and handed the box to me. No bag, no utensils, no syrup. I've been going to Bills for years. I have told countless people about it. I would still recommend the place because they do a good job with the food. Just pray this young girl is off...

Bill’s Luncheonette is fantastic. They have great options for breakfast/brunch/and lunch. They are only open Wednesday - Sunday but offer a variety of menu options and have specials as well.

We’ve gone twice now and both times we’ve been pleased with what we’ve had. The avocado toast had delicious pickled onions, the waffle with berries came out piping hot and fluffy, and both Godfather egg wrap/sandwiches packed a ton of flavor.

You can tell that everything is made to order, fresh and comes out as it’s made. The service is great as well and they’re pretty quick to get you your food.

On busier days, they do have an online queue that I believe you can call in and place yourself on which is super helpful.

The only 2 things to be wary of are the steps to get up to Bill’s are extremely steep so be careful and that the seats in the booth move if you’re back-to-back with another booth (if there’s kids beware of some movement).

To say I have a lot of memories of this place is an understatement as we'd stop in there for taylor ham and egg sandwiches whenever my father would take me to work with him and even today my father tells me stories of Bill while we enjoy lunch. Since my childhood a lot has changed but the Crowley family has always managed to keep the familiar small town family spirit alive. The staff is always very friendly and are typically local students from the high schools or college keeping that close-knit community feeling alive. The burgers at Bill's are off the charts but I generally get an egg salad sandwich with avocado and it never fails to leave me full and satisfied.
