Moravela's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Chester

Loved it! Honestly can't believe the 1 star review over a non toasted sub lol came in today after a long drive from Philadelphia. Greeted by a super friendly staff. My husband is a pizza fanatic so I was worried it wouldn't match his standards and usually if a place bills itself "authentic NY style" it will disappoint you so we grabbed a "test slice" from the choices at the counter. It was bacon, mushroom and onion and it was so good. Thin crust baked to a deep golden brown, lots of bacon and big mushrooms and enough onion to taste it but not so much that you need a bottle of Listerine on hand lol. We decided to split a BBQ pizza and an order of lasagna. The lasagna came with a salad and these yummy Garlic rolls that were so fluffy and good I wanted to eat a dozen! Pizza was AMAZING not some crust covered in BBQ sauce with plain chicken it was actually BBQ chicken chunks, with a thin layer of BBQ sauce not a bunch of gloppy sauce lol and oh man the lasagna was HUGE and the edges were crispy melted mozzarella goodness we fought over lol grabbed a pitcher of Pepsi and total was under 40 pizza was a medium 16 in and we took home half of both hands down best service the girl that we had was sweet, attentive and funny. Chester location we will be back I need to try that soup the gentleman near us had and grab some grinders and go to Gillette Castle...

After my husband, myself and our 6 children went to essex to ride the steam train and riverboat we decided to stop for lunch here- boy were we glad we did! The Stromboli was awesome,crispy crust and full of steak, peppers,onions, mushroom, and cheese. The small was a foot long and the large had to be close to 20" long! They brought it out on a large pizza tray as you can see in the pics. Then my son's ordered a Calzone one with spinach & cheese you can see in the pic was about 18" long, about 6" wide, and again came out on a large pizza tray! The waitress was down right rude to my family and I. I have two little kids and it made them uncomfortable. She was annoyed when we didn’t move the items to her liking for her to put the pizza down, and huffed and puffed and slammed them down. I moved what I thought needed to be. She only tried to make up for it after my husband said something to her, it was Father’s Day also. The food was okay but I’m not sure if we will ever be back. We can get pizza just as good with a server who isn’t rude. I’ve never EVER been treated like that in a restaurant but to do that in front of young kids on Father’s Day is...
