Philly Tap & Tavern Harrah's Philadelphia — Restaurant in Chester

I, a man of color and veteran walked into the restaurant and sat down. Another man of color walked into the restaurant and he sat down. As we waited for service which was around 5 pm on 3/17/2024, the bar area was not busy. A caucasian couple walked into the restaurant, sat down and was immediately waited on by the bar attendant which was also caucasian. I walked over and got menus for me and the other customer of color. After waiting for what seems like a decade, I walked over to the seating booth and asked for the manager. I was given Brian who apologized and stated I would be taken care of. I sat back down and got the caucasian attendant who walked near me and the other customer of color and said, "hi, hi" and walked back to the other side of the bar. Another worker walked over who assisted me and the other customer. The worker was a woman of color who apologized and attempted to assist me and the other customer of color. The other customer of color asked for an alcoholic drink which required the caucasian bar attendant to assist. She poured the drink, handed it to the other bar attendant of color to walk over the customer of color. By this time I ask why the caucasian bar attendant couldn't or wouldn't walk the drink over, no reply. The customer of color and myself were given chicken tenders and fries as a peace offering but the damage was done and I asked for my check and to go containers. Staff saved this from being lower in stars.. First the app did come out hot and fast but the main was right behind it giving a rushed dining experience. I went with the steak and found you're paying prime rate for choice meats. The vegetables were soggy and COVERED in garlic and not very enjoyable. Now the mash weren't bad in the way it prepared but wish they didn't leave it under a heat lamp while waiting for my steak i assume (had that hard outer layer). Back to the steak it was bland with this odd glaze that made it that less enjoyable. Overall if you want a burger maybe but steak is a definite no go. Stopped by here during the Philly Foodie & fireworks festival because it was way too hot outside. There are too many issues for me to mention. I've posted a picture of JUST the appetizer because it was the ONLY food worthwhile. Our server, Elisabeth, seemed a bit disoriented. Shouldn't your water be the FIRST thing to hit the table? I know this place bills themselves as a Steakhouse, but that's no excuse for serving Short ribs of beef drier than stale crackers! It came with mashed potatoes & "steamed" broccoli. Why was the side of gravy the warmest thing on the plate? If we ever find ourselves in here again, it's gonna be just the sampler appetizer plate...
