I used to LOVE this place, but the last 3 times were awful. The first time, the server was rude and couldn't be found, I had to get up and get my own boxes because we waited 30 minutes for her to come back into the dining area and had to ask another serve for our bill. The 2nd time was carry-out - I ordered a broccoli chicken pasta bowl and thought I ate leftovers that were 3 days old and ended up throwing my entire meal away... and then the third time was today. I dined in and ordered a bowl of french onion soup and it wasn't even hot. The cheese on top was cold and shredded, not melted over the top or anything like it should have and there was literally no liquid in the bowl because there was so many croutons that soaked it all up it was just a ball of mush and I had it sent back. $6.50 for a bowl of absolutely disgusting soup. I literally lost my appetite. I wish I would've taken a picture of it. My daughters grilled cheese was cold. I ordered a Reuben with fries - the fries were cold and soggy and the sauerkraut on my Reuben was very cold. Ew. Our table was nasty and there were napkins on the floor by our feet from the previous people who sat there. $60 dinner that ended up in the trash.
However, there are great things about this place.. most of the wait staff are super friendly. The night time manager or possibly owner (not sure) is very nice and he greets us every single time we come in.. today was the first time I didn't see him and I think that's why there was absolutely zero work ethic and just laziness which is why our food was cold and terrible because usually its amazing! Eh. I don't think we will...
Read moreFood was not tasty, my friend and I had two different soups. She had the French onion soup was so salty my friend sent it back. I had the “supposed best chicken pot pie soup in the town” NOT! First of all, I ordered it, but never said bowl! It was the biggest bowl I had ever seen for soup. But I kept it, due to their claim. If it was so good, I’d love leftovers to take home! But it was so not the best! Apple Annie’s is the best!! I had the french dip. My first bite of the meat was so tough, and the dip was so salty, the cook, must have dumped a whole bottle of salt in the soup so that the French onion and dip for sandwich was the same and way too salty!! I couldn’t eat it! So I ate a quarter of the sandwich and put the rest in the carry out container. Our waitress didn’t smile once. She finally said thank you at the end when giving us the bill. She asked if we needed anything else, but she’s start to walk away before we could even reply. I needed hot water, my friend needed malt vinegar and the other with us wanted mustard for his sandwich. I was a guest of my friends so I hated to be the one to complain. But when this popped up, I’m taking my chance to speak! When you see the video of me trying to pull the meat apart, it’s so touch I had a hard time! Burnt and a lot of gristle. Sorry for the poor quality of the video. It was hard to do it on my own! I will NOT eat...
Read moreFirst time here and was very hopeful. The menu variety was great, our server was friendly. The saganaki was decent. The French onion was very good the pot pie soup was very good. I did have to pay full price for the French onion but was not offered the salad (or other soup) that my entree came with to maybe take home. Was told that the cooks "lost our ticket" (being that I worked in the industry for 25+years i know that's lingo for 'i forgot to put in your order' most times) even after told that it still took a long time to get our entrees. It was not busy either we were there about 4pm. We were not in a hurry so we were fine waiting. We received the entrees. Mine was shrimp scampi pasta bowl. It was awful. There was absolutely zero flavor. Tasted like just olive oil. The shrimp were a bit under and the pasta was mushy. His entree was fish n chips. Was very greasy with no flavor except the grease. We asked them to take the meals off and they did however there was no manager presence to ask what went wrong or offer any apologies or maybe an incentive to come back. Unfortunately we will not be...
