I stopped by a few days ago to see the inside renovations! Very nice and comfortable. You can come for a date or with kids. Last night we stopped in after the Colville fair, I had seen that they had Chimay Ale, my go to in my 30s. Also Lindeman's Framboise Raspberry lambic beer. I love the atmosphere, there is a variety of shopping to do, food, comfortable sitting areas, and desserts. We sat at the bar and goodness I wish I had taken a picture of all the different selections of wine and beer on the wall! It was awesome! Of course, I had to ask if they had organic wine(I get massive headaches now in my 50s, but I think I'm 37-Haha)? The gentleman bartender, came out with about 7-10 bottles, I was shocked! Most places roll their eyes at me. Most of the wines were local, no sulfites! Goodness, I was a happy camper! We ordered a charcuterie board( Yes it auto corrected my spelling), because we had dinner waiting at home. Great pit stop for those traveling and great hangout for the locals with kids or no kids. Lastly, service was great! They were happily busy!

Went in a little before 5pm, and the two employees looked at me annoyed and seemed to not want to take my order, do not greet me, and I had to say hello and walk over to them as they continued to look irritated. The waitress, still seeming pissed off at me, takes my order. The cook goes and grabs the food while the waitress gets the ice cream I bought. I decide to take my food to go because of how weird and unwelcoming they were. I get home and go to eat my food, the sausage with a side of mac and cheese, and find the sausage very burnt and missing the pickled onions the dish is supposed to come with. Honestly really terrible food and service. The sausage was inedible.

Don't let the name fool you, this is much more than just a general store. From handmade crafts, to local wines, to delicious food, this place has it all. These days it's so rare to buy something and be able to shake the hand of the person who made it, but the general store has made that an every day occurrence. I was even able to snag a CGS branded Beckel canvas bag for my collection. An incredible place that brings local community members together while showcasing NE Washington's rich history, culture, makers, and natural resources for travelers far and wide. I will most certainly be returning!
