I'm just changing my thoughts since the cafe has been newly owned...
Bare walls, absolutely no decoration. No bulletin. No conversation. No people. Empty tables and chairs. (You get the point.) Anytime I've been there, I've been the only one there to get my little order to go. ( Even driving by, it's empty.) No customers at the tables or anywhere for that matter.
Menu prices are on the high side...
I really wish I would have taken a picture of what we got for today. (Sorry, I didn't have the time. If I go back, I'll try to get pictures.)
The burgers are pretty expensive and quite flat and dry. To bland, or to salty. (If you want cheese, you HAVE to ask for it, but if you want to know there's cheese on it, you'll want maybe at least 3 slices. Automatic toppings include lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. The amount of each topping varies from time to time. (Too much or very little.) It would be best to mention how much of what toppings you want. You can ask for the toppings on the side, whether you're dining in or carrying out. Condiment is ketchup. One burger may fill a child.
It's the same every time I have gone there. I place my order. I pay. I get asked if I want a receipt. Sometimes I will get an "OK, thank you. I'll be right back." I say thank you and go about my day.
I promise you I'm not trying to dog on these people who now own this restaurant, but they could really use a lot of changes. "Live and learn."
(I had what my thoughts were from the previous owners, but it was quite long, and that's not the information that people need or want now. (So, this is as of...
Read moreVery cute, small, family-friendly food spot. The menus are on two separate walls, so I didn't realize they had a good breakfast menu until I realized they had a second spot for their menus on the wall to the left after walking in. I ended up getting the breakfast burrito and one of their cinnamon pastries. Both were delicious, the burrito is a decent size but I like to eat so in the end I wished I got myself two burritos 🤣. It might need a little salt and hot sauce, but both items are located on the tables if you dine in. The cinnamon pastry reminded me of a palmier, but I think they called it a cinnamon crispy (I could be wrong on their name). Other than that, they seem to be a small (maybe family owned) business. So the hostess was helping out in the back and it took some time before she came back to the front and took our order. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time, we ordered some water for breakfast and I think that took the longest to get to the table. Overall, if you're looking for a bite to eat while passing through or staying for a weekend and this place is open I definitely recommend stopping by for a bite to eat. I'll have to try something not on the breakfast menu the next time I pass through to...
Read moreThis restaurant owned and operated by Lori, hasnt had a health inspector over 5 years! Terrible food and service. The soda dispenser has mold on/in it, caught it 3 times with 3 different drinks. Didn't end up drinking any of it, thank goodness. Taste like the grease never gets changed. Very limited food items, it's always burgers and burritos. Daily specials are eh. The food is always cold. Any of the meat always taste heavily salted. I just can't stand it anymore. I don't how folks are lying to themselves saying it's good food. It's not. Anytime I attempt to eat there, a staff member is always talking to me while I'm trying to enjoy my food. Gets annoying fast. I don't like this restaurant anymore. There's going to be a new owner, but I doubt much will change. I rather eat dirt then attempt to try another meal here. Save yourself and just wait till you get too Kansas, burlington, Lamar, Limon,...
