My first rating was 5 stars and then I dropped my rating to 4 stars because I was wanting for my check a lot longer than I should have to wait.
Finally, I dropped my rating to 3 stars when I got to my car. My mom and I stood up and I thought she would bring me my check...nope after about 15-20 after getting a to go box I went up to the bar to pay for our lunch.
Today was my first time to eat at The Gap and I might come back again. I grew up in rural Colorado and I understand the connections within a small community, but that is no excuse to ignore other customers.
Mom lives in Kit Carson and whenever I come to spend the day with her. I like to take her to lunch. Today I found another place we will be going for lunch.
Mom ate very well for me, that does not happen often. they have corn nuggets if you have not tried them, you really should food was good, well prepared if you are getting a chef salad (it is good), but unless you are pretty hungry get the small (it is big) waitress was very friendly, but not very focused on her tables, she likes to visit, a lot, with people she obviously knows from Cheyenne and the local area.
I might recommend this place to my friends...

Waitress was disengaged and not friendly. I ordered a cheese burger and tator tots. She asked me if I wanted everything on it like pickle, lettuce tomato etc. I said Yes please. She brought the food out in boxes with no napkins or bags to carry them in. Luckily, I looked at my food, there were no ketchup or mustard. Just a dry cheeseburger on a dry bun. When I asked for condiments, she just pointed in the direction that I should go look for them at and get them myself. Which, I did. Tator tots were cold and old... too disgusting to eat. They definitely were not made with burger. YUCK! Very bad place do not waste your time, money, and taste buds on this very disgusting...

Despite it being a bar, children were able to enter and the video games and TV kept everyone entertained while we waited for our food. We ordered pub grub, (burgers, chicken strips, etc.) Nothing too greasy. Everything was cooked fine. It was a pleasant experience for out-of-towners on...
