Honestly its a shame I have to write this as they are blocks from my house. I love the convenience of this location. I use to love silvermine subs. I have been eating their food since I was a kid. It’s sad to see such a long running restaurant slip down hill. The north location is ran by what I can only describe as uncaring employees. They show mild interest in helping customers who walk in the door. Once they do meander over, you are greeted with blank stares from employees who clearly hate being there. You are then given your order sealed in the bag. Not a huge deal except when you often get home to find either sandwiches made wrong, missing items or impertinent comments written on your box. One thing I can say definitely, staff that show little interest in their job will not follow safe food handling. Having immune deficient family members this is a huge concern for me. After the manager apologized for the offensive comments of their employee last time I did want to give this store another chance. I can deal with incorrect orders but the decline in the stores culture is a red flag. Seeing once again yesterday I am officially done with this location. After reading owner comments on other reviews I feel it is important to note, the owner clearly does not want to accept responsibility for the actions of their stores. Comments on negative reviews are compromised of poorly veiled deflections that refuse to accept their stores need work. I’ve seen great restaurants fail because of this mind set. For the sake of the food, and the safety of the patrons, I will engage with the corporate office to see if these are a franchise store. This behavior needs to...
Read moreThird time after eating here we’ve been violently sick within two hours. Never again. Staff does not seem to care about running a sanitary restaurant. Update: Thank you for not taking my comments seriously. I worked in food for over a decade. Health inspections mean nothing. Prep dates in restaurants are often changed to avoid waste, thawing procedures for dairy based sauces are skipped to save time, dirty hands are used to handle foods during prep that go on customer food. none of these are found on a health inspections but create sanitation issues with serious health consequences. Fun fact of the day, I once worked in a restaurant here in town that NEVER sanitized any dish. The manager would have the closing staff skip this and just do a fast rinse on the dishes so she could hit last call at the bar before close. This kitchen also got nearly spotless health inspections. It’s not hard to fake a well run store. Food safety and sanitation is a lot more then cleaning a work surface and taking temps. I’ve watched employees in this store not wash hands, I’ve seen employees use questionable practices when handling uncooked foods. Hide behind your excuses all you want, this store is making...
Read moreI had an awful experience with the Silvermine on vandahei in cheyenne, wyoming. I ordered over $50 in food in 2 orders and it took over 1 hour to see it at my door. The person who took our order gave no time frame of when to anticipate the delivery. I called and asked the Manager on duty where our order was at, and in a rude way she said that she cant do anything except to offer a free sandwich next time. She said she wasn't even sure if our food was on it's way or not. I was not happy but I accepted it and tried to move on with my night and wait for the food. When the order finally did come, 3 of 5 of the sandwiches were made wrong. Not even cheese on one of them.. come on. And on another sandwich none of the added vegatables were on it, but the receipt showed all the added veggies that were requested. Considering how long this food took to get here, I at least expected it to be accurate. I am extremely disappointed in the...
