We made this a snow day destination expecting a true Country Store experience based on reviews. It was not. We were greeted when we walked in by the young lady at the counter. It was fairly dark inside with the service counter to my right that had a case holding maybe 20 donuts, all cider. No muffins, no eclairs, not anything like the pictures on their FB page. A small counter was to my left that had 4 coffee servers and cups. As my friend got a hot a coffee, I walked a bit behind that counter and saw a few tables and chairs in an underlit area. It was not inviting us to sit, we saw nothing that "announced" breakfast/lunch is served here. Of course we also expected to see items for sale like mugs, pictures, cards, candy etc. None that we saw. And again, nothing like the pics on their FB page. I said to my friend, What the heck? He responded, Not even on the same planet. Nothing at all like their FB. Guess I should have paid better attention to the years that the majority of the FB reviews were written, 2018,2017,2016,2015, 2014. 2013 seemed a good year...
The young lady at the counter was friendly. The donuts ok. The coffee was hot. The snow was pretty as we took a 55 minute ride in a winter storm. That is all. Not...
Read moreGreat little country store with the best apple cider donuts I've had. I like these because they offer chocolate frosted, Maple nd not just the sugar and plain like I've had everywhere else. Local brewed coffee and the Chicken salad never dissappoints. I like to support local businesses and this one gets mine as often as possible. Building needs some help but it helps play into the country feeling, also probably an old building and one that big would be a project once started. Better to keep them open doing what they do best. Spinach pie I've yet to try but always gone whenever I come back for lunch so much be good. Best blueberry muffins in town and I haven't had anything there yet that I don't like. All the items sold there also support other local businesses so I dog that. Staff are friendly and helpful but not over zellus and fake. Genuine. Weekend Mornings can get busy for good reason but worth it. Line moves fast. There's a few tables and seating. They do breakfast and lunch. If you're in the area stop in. I work up the street and they're...
Read moreI drive by this store every morning and I would say to my best friend, we have to stop there sometime and try their apple cider donuts. We finally did and I absolutely love this place. Its got an old fashion look and feel the minute I stepped on the farmers porch I felt like I stepped back in time. When the only store was the general store for miles around and everyone would hang out there and gossip or just enjoy the company and the delicious donuts. I highly recommend stopping by this cute little country Mom and pop. The people are very friendly and the apple cider donuts are worth the trip! I will without a doubt be stopping by as much as possible. I guarantee you will not be...
