PIZZA RIOT — Restaurant in Chico

As a group of 4 with 1 vegan, we gave Pizza Riot a try this afternoon, while visiting Chico State. The group consensus was that the food was exceptional. Tasty fresh delicious tacos. We tried 3 pizzas — 1 sunflower style and they were all glorious. This is a must visit local family-owned restaurant — healthy, environmentally friendly and scrumptious — a win-win-win! Edited rating down to 1 star because both myself and my SO got food poisoning from the pizza. Was told our pizza would be a 45 minute wait, after waiting an hour and a half, we still hadn't gotten our pizza. Then we overheard them say that they had given one of our pizza's to someone else. We left with just one of our pizza's, which was barely warm. The crust is good, though undercooked, the sauce has a sour taste to it, and the cheese and toppings are so-so. My SO and I were excited to try a vegan pizza place, but we definitely will not be...

The first vegan pizza to really hit the target for me. Not only are the vegetable toppings quality, but the dough, sauce, "cheese" and "meat" are excellent.

The menu is daring and massive, drawing inspiration from almost every cuisine imaginable. Barbeque? Banh Mi? Mac N Cheeze? That's something you can order, as a vegan, on a pizza...Never would have thought it possible!

The customer service has always been friendly and prompt as well. Looking forward to many...
