Hooks Pizza On the Hill — Restaurant in Chillicothe

There's gas station pizza that's better than the food Hook's will serve you (if you even get what you order). AVOID Hook's Pizza on the Hill.

I travel for work and rely on food delivery often while on the road; Hook's Pizza on the Hill seemed to have OK reviews, so a co-worker and I thought we'd try one of their pies. Our pizzas were delivered lukewarm like they had just been sitting around under a warmer, and the toppings/cheese tasted like we'd popped a frozen Red Baron pizza in the microwave.

Additionally, they had NO breadsticks listed on their Doordash menu (what kind of pizza joint doesn't have breadsticks? Like, seriously?), but had 'cheese sticks'. Alright, so it being a pizza place we figured it had to be a cheesy breadstick. NOPE, it's literally cheese-sticks: deep-fried breaded mozzarella. The meal was so bad and we were so disappointed at that point that we just had to laugh, it was so surreally absurd. No breadsticks at a pizza joint. So, we're done with the meal, time for the dessert we ordered. Guess what? THEY DIDN'T GIVE US THE DESERT WE ORDERED. No call or note telling us the item isn't available, just a 'screw these people, they'll eat what we give them'.

We're in Chillicothe for the next several weeks for work, and I can assure you we WILL NOT be placing another order with these yahoos. If you want pizza in Chillicothe, Ohio, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like COVID-19 and just get yourself a pie from the nearest truck stop. I mean seriously...

Worst business I have ever had the displeasure of working for. Yvonne Hooks claims to be a business woman but is not she treats her employees like garbage besides the couple she favors and gives them all the hours and helps them with there personal finances as well. If there is a mistake made she trashes that person to all the other employees. Just a very nasty person. When. Her customers are unhappy she doesn't make it right doesn't even give them $1 off there next order. When you order a 18 inch pizza just know it's a 16 inch stretch out to a 18 inch. I have never had an employer or seen an employer treat her employees and customers like she does. Also when she doesn't like someone and wants to fire them for no reason she just ignores them for a month. Last time I spoke with her she couldn't lose me and didn't want to fire me so I waited a month and texted her daily just to be ignored. Until one day she finally text back told me she didn't need me. Didn't have 1 solid reason. This was the month of December. She took Christmas away from my children because she didn't "like" me any more. I have also seen her pick what she thought was still good lettuce out of the trash and serve it to guests. Horrible business...

Food is great, we live about 15 minutes from the store. We understand that it takes a while for delivery. Tonight, I called before I ordered to make sure they were able to deliver to our area. There have been times before where they couldn't. They told me no problem. It ended up taking close to 2 hours and they forgot half our order. I called to get a credit for the pizza they didn't send. The manager was nasty to me. Said she would allow me to get a credit on my next order. I was trying to say I did not know if I would order again due to this experience and asked to refund my card the cost of the one pizza. She was rude and told me that they were busy and only had one driver and we live too far away. I was explaining that is why I called ahead when she hung up on me. They did end up refunding me the entire order. I was willing to pay for the part we received. A "so sorry, we will credit your account " was all I wanted. Will definitely not be ordering again,it's not worth the aggravation. Too bad too...their...
