Ok, starting to really love this place. The owner is super strict on health codes and was drilling her employees like it was bootcamp to get their hair up and wash hands non stop. She mentioned to one girl that he black hair shows up on anything so she can't afford a single hair loose and able to fall into food and she was so right. Her stern once over was observed as I was getting my pick up order and I loved it. I now know there's a cleaner place to eat here in chino valley! That's what it takes to run a business and out here where many restaurants have been.....low brow, it shows that that doesn't have to be a chino theme. The food is great! Their tomato sauces are a great flavor that really matches the fusion restaurant ideal. It's both, while being its own thing, and isn't just unique from over spicing! It has a thick robust taste that really get you flavor evenly without anything "wrong". I grew up with little Italian ladies making their sauces and hating on eachothers for the tiniest of things and id genuinely think they'd all be able to appreciate this taste as it's own. The shrimp tacos were great! Good portion too. Alot of restaurants out here in az really try to do 2 or 3 shrimp on a plate and this place isn't. Good 3-4 shrimp filling each taco, the shrimp scampi had 10 in the pasta and wasn't one of those 2 shrimp in noodles scams we all hate. This is good food. The owners are real people that seem like they know how to do a restaurant. I'd love to see this place grow and improve, maybe steal some bar life from the dives and have a real nice place to take a date in chino valley. The only thing I'd suggest is cheap 5, 6dollar appetizers. The one thing that keeps you glued to a place like this is the 1 more taco plate, or the unique nacho type plate to chase a rum and coke with when you aren't really hungry. Even like 3 shrimp on a piece of garlic bread with a super hot spice that can be added, bam, there's an excuse for a few more drinks! But overall, 5 stars and a repeat customer! Stay open until 10 or bar and half kitchen until 2 and become THE...
Read moreFive stars doesn’t seem like enough to grade this GREAT establishment!!🌟 My partner and I GOOGLED restaurants to eat at in Chino Valley and this one came up w lots of positive reviews and we thought we’d give it a try - Mexican AND Italian offered in the same place? How can that not be amazing?! Greeted upon entering by a waitstaff member, we were told to sit wherever we wanted. I was immediately impressed with how CLEAN and orderly the restaurant was and thought the decor was tasteful and not overly done. Our server was quick w our drink order and placed chips and tasty salsa on the table straightaway. The chips were just how I like them - fresh, thin and lightly salted w no lingering oily aftertaste. My partner ordered a taco salad w carne asada and I, the House Enchiladas w cheese. The wait for our food was minimal and oh my what a delight when it arrived at our table! Not only was everything DELICIOUS but it was beautifully presented (see pictures) - both of us were quite impressed!! Every ingredient was fresh, the blend of spices perfect - not too heavy or too much heat - the guacamole that came on the taco salad was honestly the best we’ve ever had. The carne asada was fork tender and the taste spot on. My enchiladas filled and entire plate and the beans and rice came separately, that’s how large the portions are here. I only ever order enchiladas when I dine in a Mexican restaurant as the dish is my absolute favorite. I can honestly say the enchiladas I had here today were the BEST I’ve ever eaten - the sauce was simply delicious!! We will be back to dine again and next time we’ll try items off the Italian menu. I’m so pleased we’ve found our new favorite restaurant that’s so close to...
Read more[Old Review - Newest Below] Lovely place. Fan is loud. Service is joyful in their work. Very echoey. Very Clean. Love the modernity inserted within Mexican style. They give you chips and salsa as you sit down. Food is expensive unless you come for Taco Tuesdays or other specials, I'm sure. I'm here for Taco Tuesday and 3 meat types are less than 2 dollars while there are 3 more expensive types. Salsa is tasty and chips are fried perfectly. I'm on a crunch. Let's see how long food gets here. Waitress is beaming. Five to ten minutes for food. Mexican radio starts.... randomly. Waitress asks if I need anything else. I say no. Taco is tasty. Cilantro, onion, shredded cheese, and lettuce on top cheaper taco meats. Choice between corn and flour, soft and hard. I picked hard flour. Very scrumptious. The frying is expert. Dipped taco in salsa. Delectable. ///////
[New Review] Perfect service! Waitresses still beaming, was about to find Tums for me after I joked about it. Very fast in delivery. Fill up on two baskets of chips before you get your food. Lol Food seems pricey, but they deliver quite a bit! Good for leftovers or splitting, or if you want to overeat for lunch. Also, food tastes wonderful. Finally, ambience is better (no loud fan) but restaurant still echoes every conversation. (Would suggest foam sound barriers for walls or something) Service: ⭐️ Food: ⭐️ Time:...
