The hostess sat us in a booth with barely enough room for 4. The 2 outside people had to sit half off the seat. We are just average size people.
Apparently the hostess forgot to tell the waitress we were there. At least that’s what the waitress said when she came by 20 minutes after we were seated.
A couple were seated about 2 minutes after us at a table for 4. The got drinks, apps, and food while we still tried to get the waitress’s attention.
Just when I was ready to go get someone the waitress happened along, “Oh have you been waiting a while?”
I asked if we could be moved to an open table next to us that had seating for four. She said it was reserved. An hour later, still nobody had sat there.
We spent almost 2 hours there and the service was horrible.
The waitress was not attentive during the meal. She knew we were not happy. At least a round of drinks should have been bought for us, but no. The only time she gave us her undivided attention was when we paid the bill. I hate the bill payment where they hover over you and scan your card, then hand you a device to add on the tip amount. It’s such a horrible system.
My meal was barely edible because it was cold, yeah cold meat. Everyone else with a burger or Ruben had super hot food….
Food review:
Pulled pork 5/10 too fatty not a good fat content it should have rendered out the fat during a slow roast. Served cold.
Brisket 4/10 borderline dry, little smoke ring, flavorless seasonings. Served cold.
Fried pickles 5/10 they were not hot when they were brought out
Baked beans 6/10 could have been a 9/10 if they were hot.
Coleslaw……meh not worth a number
Bacon Blue burger 8/10 wife liked the flavor. Waitress never asked how she wanted it cooked.
Ruben Sandwich 10/10, I was told it was the best Ruben ever!!
Sorry, but the truth...

Beautiful building and it smelled amazing when we walked in. We both ordered prime rib our server never asked us what temperature we wanted our steaks (it didn’t cross our minds until way after the fact). Food comes and the steaks are raw and bloody. She never gave us steak knives so I tried to cut it with my butter knife which was useless. We had to sit and wait for at least ten minutes for our waitress to come check on us before we could send it back. Less than five minutes later she brought back our steaks. They were room temperature and still raw. It appears that the cooks only seared both sides quickly and sent it back out. For the amount of money that was charged at a steakhouse it was the most disappointing overpriced inedible prime rib I’ve ever had in my life. I could have cooked it better myself at home. To take the best cut of meat and serve it that way is almost criminal. I wouldn’t even feed the leftovers to my dog because it is still moo-ing. We left hungry, disgusted and feel like we’ve been robbed of $100. I 100% do not recommend ever eating the prime rib. Honestly after this experience I don’t think I’ll ever go back. The icing on the cake was as we were leaving we see our waitress clearly bad mouthing us to other customers and she gave me a dirty look. The service was poor and the food even worse which is sad because I love supporting local and this one has forever lost...

When you really enjoy a particular food that isn't normally associated with a style of preparation that you also greatly enjoy, and you see that some genius put them together...🤯. What I'm referring to specifically is one of my favorite sandwiches, the Reuben, and when someone, extremely intelligently places the single adjective "Smoked" in front of it... grab the keys and get in the car baby, we're going to Lake Superior Smokehouse!
The Mrs. fav is pulled pork she KNOWS what she likes, and LSS gets her vote of best standard PPS EVER! And she wasn't just starving to tant the experience. The smoked flavor was perfectly balanced with the seasoning of the pork and the house-made sweet BBQ sauce was impressive to say the least 😋 (she used it to dip her fries in instead of ketchup). She completely enjoyed the slaw as well as it reminded her of chow-chow that her great-aunt would make.
My smoked reuben also took the prize for "Best EVER"! The pumpernickel rye was perfectly soft and grilled 👌 crispy and buttery, the ratios of sauerkraut to meat spot on and the tang of the thousand island dressing... 💥 💥 💥! The house cut fries were also outstanding, tender and on the dark side.
Of course, what's a complete dinner without dessert? Can't remember the name, it had chocolate and vanilla and it was...
