Grand Donut — Restaurant in Cibolo

Kolaches - Excellent! Meat & cheese cfare centered within the dough perfectly, so no leaks, no mess...as you you commonly get with popular donut chain kolaches. In addition the dough is slightly & pleasantly sweet like donut dough or hawaiian bread...yummy and remains soft & springy after reheat! All other popular chain stores use regular bread.

Eclaires, Boston Creams, Cinnamon Twists, Old Fashion Cinnamon Rolls - These are all as good or better than the popular chain store varieties. FYI - You must ask of the Eclaires to be filled if you desire the Bavarian custard filling; if you fail to do so, it will come empty inside.

The regulate plain glazed, cake donutes, donut holes, all other filled, sprinkled, iced, & sugared - These type donuts are made in the style of Krispy Kreme and are the reason for why I did not give a 5★ rating. I do not like how sweet KK donutes are and my favorite donut is the plain glazed.

However, I must repeat that the kolaches here are far superior to Shipley's (where the best plain glazed donutes are...

There was a fly in the kolaches but staff didn’t seemed worried about it when I brought it to their attention. The young lady’s response was, “oh no” and went about serving orders. As I was leaving the same young lady tells a gentleman that came from their kitchen that there is a fly in the kolaches. He just looks towards the kolaches and does nothing. I was parked in front of their door and I waited a few minutes to see what they were going to do but to my surprise they did nothing. They should have at least discarded them but...

They open at 5am to 1pm, Sundays 6am to 1pm. Everything looks clean and organized. I tried a bacon and egg sandwich and a old-fashioned chocolate donut. They both tasted fresh and light and definitely hit the spot. They also have a large selection of drinks to choose from. I like the small business feel to it and when I went there it was not busy.
