Mi Cabaña Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Cincinnati

What caught my attention with Mi Cabana was the 4.8 Google rating. Me being the foodie I am I had to make the drive to check it out. Out front it isn’t much to look at but inside is where the magic happens. As soon as you walk in you’ll notice the beautiful walls giving off a rain forest vibe. As I sat down I noticed all the seats were painted with Mexican themed pictures. The bars countertop is absolutely gorgeous and at the bar are 4 good sized flat screens. The bartender was a sweet young lady who quickly assisted me. I got a patron margarita it came out with two sip straws and a decorated straw with a decorative umbrella poked through my orange. Not only was it a pretty drink but it had a nice punch us drinkers like in our margaritas with great flavor. I ordered the fiesta burrito which was not absolutely fantastic but was as big as the 12” plate.. to say the least I have lunch for tomorrow which wasn’t the goal but is a fantastic bonus. Not sure how this place has a 4.9 .. Service was okay. After we got our chips it was like our server would not come back over to check on us. We finally got more chips and then when our order came, the food was extremely bland to be a Mexican restaurant. No flavor at all. Very disappointed. The quesadilla barely had cheese and there was double lettuce and no guac. Then the other person i was with also had a quesadilla and hers was way smaller than mine. We asked why and they because it has 3 meats. Like why would it be smaller because of that...? And then hers came with just rice and beans.. The chicken Taco salad was also bland. I didn't know what's going on with all these Mexican restaurants going downhill on service and food but it...

Díos Mio! This place rocks. What an amazing meal we had. Very authentic, delicious Mexican food, and stellar service. Cold beers and giant margaritas, wow. The Seafood Chimichanga & Carnitas were outstanding. The atmosphere was electric with soccer on and the locals cheering on their teams. Big place, outdoor patio, deck, and volleyball in the back. Such a great family run establishment. A wonderful addition to the area. Will definitely be back again soon to try more from the menu. Such a fun experience!! Check...
