Update: Seems like Saylor Park Coffee has found their groove since opening. I've now returned several times and the experience has been so much better than before. I'm super pleased to find a local place to grab a brew and work on writing and some other projects. Original review: Solid coffee shop and a welcome addition to Sayler Park! Between this place and Busy Bee (sp?) doughnuts, your breakfast needs are well met. The shop offers a nice selection of drinks powered by Deeper Roots coffee beans (Deeper Roots is a Cincinnati based coffee roaster boasting artisan farm to cup roasts). All at great prices! It’s wonderful to see this neighborhood perk up with life, percolators and all 😉

The coffee and service were excellent. Plenty of free street parking all around. The building is gorgeous; an old, historic brick beauty that has been updated on the street level for the coffee shop. Be mindful that there is a step to get in; I had a stroller with me that I had to lift over the threshold, but the sweet barista came over to help without even asking. I had a iced coffee and it was delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Located in such a cute, historic area. It's worth grabbing a drink and taking a walk around the nearby park or through the neighborhood.

I review a lot of coffee shops. I had missed this one on Westside. It will go in my regular rotation. The Blueberry Danish was tasty but was topped by the Salted Honey Vanilla Latte! Latte was perfection. The space was cozy and smelled very clean. Bathrooms were very clean. This coffee shop has an amazing feature that I’ve only seen at one other coffee shop in West Virgina. There is a board that you can buy someone a coffee. The one in WV specially was for police and fire. This board you can buy one for anyone.

Repeat customer here. Won't be going back though. Paid for a coffee with cash this morning and the barista (short haired brunette, skinny one who always wears bibs) appeared as if she was appalled I was paying with cash as she tossed my change on the counter instead of handing it to me. I understand my hands probably look kinda dirty because of the line of work I'm in, but I don't have cooties! As I was waiting for my coffee, the same barista was exclaiming that, and I quote, "no one cares about Easter!" Well I have news for you: I do! I believe in God. I believe this is an obvious creation that we're living in and it's foolishness to believe that billions of years of coincidences created this beautiful world we live in. The big bang theory is about as likely as a tornado going through a junkyard, and when the storm is over, there's a Boeing 757 sitting there in perfect condition. I refuse to finance an institution that proudly promotes atheism and transgenderism, and that's the vibe I get from most the employees there. Think about where your money goes people. It's a shame too because though it's evident that this is a non conservative coffee shop, I would still happily support this small business (and I'm a 4-5 times a week customer that buys coffee and milkshakes for the kids) if I hadn't of heard that comment. Sad story but true. Employees should keep their political and theological opinion to themselves in the earshot of customers. I'll be going to aromas...

My friend has raved about this location for a long time, so we finally went out here instead of our normal Saturday coffee shop of the Coffee Peddlar (we live in Harrison).

Honestly, it is VERY worth the drive for us to go here, as the coffee was perfect (that peppermint mocha was THE best!) and the staff is extremely kind and knowledgable. And don't get me started on the prices, they are so fair and compared to CP, we got a LOT more for our money and felt amazing about it. (THANK you for these prices!)

They have a lot of choices, and they also have bakery items and ice cream. I can't wait to try the ice cream sometime, but will for sure be back for more coffee on...
