Subway — Restaurant in Citrus Heights

1 star is one too many. I went to pick up a sub for a friend who was ill I asked for a 6 inch spicy Italian on wheat. Let me rewind the guy running the store was outside talking to someone I went into the store where the guy running it and the guy he was talking to came in. The guy running the store went to the back and came out with cash which he handed to the guy he was talking to, apparently it was not enough because there was a heated conversation in their language then he went into the cash register and handed him some more money. Fast forward -- he starts making me a foot long which I corrected him and he threw the bread back into the bread keeper. He then asked me if I wanted ham I ask if that came on a spicy Italian then he puts it on and tells me the Italian BMT and the Spicy Italian are the same I say ok I asked for tomatoes and he takes one slice of tomato and cuts it in half I ask for more tomatoes and he pulls his wedgie out of his butt with his gloved hand and storms off to the back I say thank you that is okay. He starts to yell at me that they don't need my kind in the store -- what kind is that a paying customer that has purchased from your store 2-3 times a week since you were located by 7 Eleven, or someone like you who came to this country to make a better life. The original owner has always been customer friendly, I guess his employees are not. I ask that anyone seeking Subway sandwiches purchase them from the Greenback or Madison store...

The food is always fresh and the people go out of their way to get it just the way I like it 😁. But... we had coupons from the paper that were not usable because they said they didn't apply to that particular sandwich. . The coupon didn't say there were any exclusions. Corporate needs to make sure those things are clearly printed on the coupon so people don't find out they don't apply once they order. But that's not the fault of the people that work for Subway. Tried using the app several times because they also offered discounts for using it. It was horrible. Sitting in the parking lot trying to place the order was a joke, they kept telling us to pick up in another state. The GPS doesn't work. Great sandwich, great people but corporate needs to get...

The working there seemed a bit of time grumpy and not friendly at all. She would say all the polite and proper things and in a tone that you knew it was fake. There was no music which I know is not a sin, but just made the vibe even worse. Food was normal Subway quality but they were or of some items...
