Taste of China — Restaurant in Citrus Park

I went there today for lunch. I ordered Pork with Mixed Vegetables (extra spicy), and asked to replace the rice with lo mein. I got a couple of things at Winn-Dixie next door and then came back a few minutes later to pick up and pay. In addition to the normal $4.95 lunch combo price, I was charged $1.50 more to have the rice replaced with the lo mein ($6.45). I mentioned to the cashier that China Wok (on Waters Ave) doesn't charge extra to replace the rice with lo mein. She told me that's impossible, every place charges for replacements. I told her that I eat at China Wok frequently for lunch. It didn't matter, though, she still insisted that I was just making it up! Review on the food: mediocre at best. The lo mein was over garlicy and left a grease mess on the plate! The pork with mixed vegetables was just OK. It was not spicy at all, as I requested. The sauce was bland, the mini corn had a strange bitter taste and the entree had little pork. I had far too much lo mein compared to the main course! I should have just bought a frozen entree at Winn-Dixie. I won't...

I just moved to the area & wanted to try the local/closer Chinese spot, that was my first mistake, the food was DISGUSTING, the chicken wings looked like they were fried 3x & were super small, when I asked if they could do all flats I was told it was $4 up-charge, I understand it’s not free but $4 extra is crazy for 6 wings lol the rice I ordered spicy was not in fact spicy, the chicken broccoli was not good but the white rice though, WAS STALE?? How do you mess up white rice?? It feels comical…. I ended up having to throw out the food out before I could take a pic because I was so disgusted & buy something else. The location…. I went there for the 1st time last night at 10:15pm. I don't know if they were in hurry to get out of there or what. I ordered the Curry Chicken Combination and got like 3 little pieces of chicken and the rest vegetables😡 I should have just ordered just ordered vegetable Curry 🤣 I didn't take it back because I live to far away. I ate it because I was hungry, but very disappointed. To respond to owners response: Dear owner. I congratulate you on being in business for 30 yrs. I'm telling you the truth the chicken curry was all vegetables with 3 pieces of chicken in it. Mistakes happen so Don't try to put the blame on a paying customer. Working in restaurants for the last 25 yrs knows that is not what you do.
