Unfortunately had a bad experience today. Went for a baby shower. As it is the season, it was busy. The baby shower and another party and walk-ins. Quantity not quality. A grilled to your perfection burger advertised was not available. The server said the kitchen was too busy so all were being prepared medium. The rolls were still partially frozen as noticed when I partially sliced it. When given back it was the same rolls the entire table touched, as well as my sliced one, that was returned after being tossed back in the oven. The salmon was dry. The fresh carrots would probably have been good if they were still not crunchy, close to raw. I will say the kids outside sledding had a wonderful time. Read moreWe went too the Mothers Day Brunch and were very disappointed. We have actually attended their Mothers Day Brunch 3 times in past years. The recent Brunch was a shadow of itself. The buffet was so/so at best. The entire event appeared to be on it’s last legs to me. In addition it was overpriced for what we got. At the end of our experience there was only one other table of diners. I asked a waitress if the event was well attended, as we came toward the ending hour. She said that it was not well attended and that several people who had made reservations were know shows. I am not certain of how Martels does on a daily basis, but this will be our last...
Read moreWe recently had a luncheon for family following my mother in-law's Funeral Mass. Meaghan, the Event Coordinator, was extremely professional, compassionate and caring. Her first question of me on the phone, "what was your mother in-law's favorite color?" What a nice place to start - and needless to say the tables had those colored linens and napkins when we arrived. The luncheon was perfect - beautifully printed special menu with all types of options, great food and phenomenal service. A partition was set up to give us the privacy we needed.
