Miss Batavia Diner — Restaurant in City of Batavia

I have to say this place was one of my worst dining experiences ever. My husband got deep fried bacon and deep fried potatoes with his eggs and margarine on his toast. They tried to serve me my omelette with no potatoe like the menu says come with omelette. After I had to ask for it I chose hash browns cause who wants deep fried potatoe squares. Omelette was not that great. Said no tomatoes on my grandsons chicken sandwich. Guess what. They put tomatoes on it. He had to wait some additional time for them to make another one. Also I ordered a waffle. The inconsiderate waitress made me wait 10 minutes for syrup and butter. Dont think it was butter that I finally got. Some guy maybe the owner came out of no where and asked if everything was alright. Probably should of introduced himself if he was before he tried to intimidate me by asking a second time very nasty. I told him I did not need to answer him. Obviously if they couldn’t tell that they had a unhappy customer then they are stupid. After all this was the first time I was ever there. This place puts no love into the food they serve. No wonder they were dead at dinner time. They need Chef Ramsey to teach them the basics. Food bad. Customer service was bad. Very disappointed with my visit. Was there early Saturday morning, we were in town for an event, and our waitress started off friendly. We went through the motions and recieved our breakfast. Everything was yummy except for the hash browns, so bad we wanted them off our plates, they tasted like the freezer! So we waited for the waitress to check back to let her know. We were sitting in the front window next to the counter, she was around but never cared to come back. I didn't want to wait any longer so I asked her for a plate while she was portioning butter at the counter. She brought a plate and walked away. A few more minutes passed and at this point I started to get annoyed. So I asked her if she'd like to know how everything was to which she then asked and I let her know about the hashbrowns. At this point the smile and kindness disappeared. She did offer and bring me some home fries but was very unfriendly, no apology. We finished up and I asked her if we could use 2 credit cards, she said yes and that we needed to pay at the register (it was literally 3 feet away why wouldn't she just grab it?). Myself, my boyfriend and hole family love Miss Batavia Diner! The owners are amazing, staff are very kind and the food is amazing. We love going on Friday nights especially for fish and soups! Their take out is just as good as eating in the restaurant We love the fact that Danielle and Lance (the owners) always come out from the kitchen and ask how things are. Or just talk to you like they have known you forever. Little stuff like this makes you feel very welcomed. You will also always find both of them helping their staff members weather Danielle is bussing tables or helping bring orders out with her girls on busy nights so they don’t drown by themselves or Lance helping in the kitchen making sure your order is brought out perfectly and the on a timely manner. It truly shows that they care about their staff. The atmosphere is just like being in your family dinning room because of how friendly they truly are. With everything going on in this world they truly come out on top and keep business as normal. We have been loyal customers since they have been owners and we will always continue to go. I highly recommend Miss Batavia...
