Burgers, BLT, waffle...I have tried so far. They were very good, almost gourmet-grade. Coffee was excellent, especially.
I have to say their food was "surprisingly" good, considering the neighborhood's outlook. You will also notice that each item is priced 1-4 dollars lower than the diners in town, where the prices are getting somewhat ridiculous.
The spacious upper floor has great potential to be a cafe-like workspace. To truly make it a place customers want to revisit and feel at home, I recommend focusing on creating a more "homey" atmosphere with a bit of redecorating. The interior currently carries a college dorm like vibe, but it is a bit out of place. Add a small-town touch so that you can blend into this town.
Consider adding windows on the upper floor. This would not only bring in natural light, making the space feel brighter and more open, but also improve ventilation, contributing to a comfortable environment.
Meanwhile, I would pleasantly come to this place...

Would be very helpful for grab n go customers. Service was ok at best, and indifferent at worst. Register guy was blank and borderline passive aggressive. Atmosphere is not enjoyable though. They built a breakfast place inside an old 2 story bar without any sound control treatments. It is a big, echoey, loud space. All conversation, table noise, and music is downright cacophonous.
Speaking of the music, blasting trap, and mumble hip hop like a night club on a Sunday morning is simply the wrong choice. The staff were all college kids, and all of the other customers besides us were college kids during our visit, so it had a very "inmates running the asylum" type of feel. Polishing up some of those aspects could make this place a solid spot...

You order at the counter, but the sugar and stuff for coffee is over by where you dump your dirty trays, no cream there, gotta ask at the counter. Waffles served in a paper basket (like fries come in at old fashion drive in. Pretty awkward to eat I thought. Atmosphere? They took an old honky tonky small town bar and painted all the nice rustic wood gray and white - like everyone does on HGTV. Got some modern yellow tables and chairs second hand some where and called it good. Whatever.
UPDATE 10/27/23
We decided to give it a second chance- They have upgraded to real plates and silver ware, and now ask if you want cream and or sugar, so that’s no longer next to the dirty tray return. Food was...
