El Trigal Bakery — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

A few weeks ago my sister -in-law connected with this bakery regarding a cake for an upcoming shower I’m hosting. She sent pictures to her contact and the lady said she could make the cake. She asked a few questions regarding how many people the cake would need to feed. We answered promptly and wanted to proceed with the order. Since that time we have been unable to contact the person. I just called to try and place my order thinking there must be a breakdown somewhere and I was explaining what I needed to the lady that answered. I also explained that my sister in law had spoken to someone as well. She hung up the phone and now will not answer. This is my first encounter with this bakery that came highly recommended. This cake was an absolute showstopper. The place is very unassuming and the store front is split between the bakery and the eatery. However, once inside you are immediately greated with a smile. I accidentally went into the bakery and they allowed me to cut across from inside rather than having me go back outside. Once in the right place, the ladies quickly took my order. I was running errands and did not have time to enjoy there so I took my tacos to go. What a surprise, everything is fresh made to order. The flavors are not overpowering and the portions are huge! I will definitely be going back. Don't judge a book by its cover and take a chance go inside you'll be glad...
