Where do I start. My wife and I have been saying we should go to this restaurant for years. We pass it on the way to taking our kids to school. After years we finally pulled the trigger with the intention of this being a litmus test to determine where we would have our post high school graduation dinner for our daughter. My only complaint is that we didn’t go to this wonderful restaurant years ago. Wonderful water views is of course the first thing you have even on a rainy day like the evening we went. Excellent courteous service with a smile. Drinks were excellent and yummy. Loved the Mojito. The food? Tremendous. The best pulled pork taco I have ever had. Succulent marinated pulled pork which needed no guacamole , cheese or salsa. Bursting with flavor. Chicken wings with the Thai chili sauce was outstanding. Not overly cooked and the perfect amount of Thai sauce. Main course we had the Brick chicken on bed of lovely mash potatoes with sautéed string beans on the side. Perfectly cooked with amazing flavor and presentation. Wife had the Hanger steak sandwich which is the most flavorful steak sandwich in the Hudson Valley. I believe the cut was sirloin and the bread was nice and crispy with a soft inside. But the highlight was meeting Pamela herself. What a lovely woman. The best. I told her I can tell this food is cooked with a lot of love! The pandemic has been a nightmare for small restaurant owners and we owe it to them especially Pamela to support them and keep them going. Especially when the good old American cuisine is as good as this! I promised we will be there at least twice a month from now on. A gem right in our backyard...

I have a special and delightful perspective on how professional and courteous the owner and staff are. I had booked a late Saturday lunch for my recent birthday and all plans were set. Family was traveling from all directions to the midpoint of Newburgh and we were all on our way planning to meet with ravenous appetites. As we were driving I received a call from the staff saying that accidentally the calendar overlapped my reservation with a wedding that needed the restaurant until 4PM, and could we delay our arrival an additional hour? I said we were traveling as we spoke and so were my guests, we had delayed eating for the late lunch reservation and it was my birthday ( which I hadn’t specified in the reservation ). The staff member conferenced with Pamela to see if there were any solutions to continuing with our plans at 3PM…he called back with a phenomenally generous offer. Pamela would call a neighboring restaurant and get us a table PLUS she was paying for our first round of drinks as a goodwill gesture and birthday gift. Mind you , I was a COMPLETE stranger! I was overwhelmed with this collective kindness, professionalism and integrity. We had a fabulous outdoor lunch at Captain Jack’s which also did a wonderful job of welcoming us, following through on Pamela’s promise, and treating me like the birthday girl that day.

Kudos to Pamela and her staff, and Captain Jack’s. I can’t wait to meet Pamela in person and enjoy her ( obviously fantastic...

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! Worst experience ever. The male waiter brought out a bruschetta appetizer and whilst putting it down completely dropped the food off the plate and onto the table and then just left. I’ve never seen something like this ever happen, in my life. Okay mistake it’s fine, but very unpleasant to have to pick up the food from the table nevertheless. Then we asked around 4 times to explain what are the toppings on the bruschetta once it was already brought out, since I’m vegan and need to make sure I can eat them. Three different people kept forgetting to tell us and we waited around 17 mins with the plate in front of us for a simple question to be answered. The food took forever to come and was extremely mediocre for how expensive it was. So not only was the food bad but the service was much much worse. I was asked if I want fries or salad with my burger and I said salad. The order came out 2.5 hours later with fries, and they tasted bad. Then my mom and I waited around 30 mins for the check when we had a family emergency. We asked for it 3 times and the waitress kept socializing with a table near us every time she walked into the room. We live 2 hours always from this place and just now realized they forgot to bring out a dish my mom ordered (the scallops) and still fully charged for it. Will call tomorrow to speak to the manager in person. WORST restaurant I’ve ever been to, do...

What a beautiful hidden gem on the Hudson River! Away from the hustle and bustle on the strip . Came here with family and friends to celebrate my mother’s 50th birthday last night. Brittany our server was absolutely amazing and attentive!! For a party of 8 she handled us with smiles and grace and gave us great food recommendations even though everything we ate here tonight was absolutely phenomenal! Live music gave a perfect aura with the view of the water. The food?! Nothing short of amazing. You can tell everything was cooked to order and fresh. I’m sure the chefs were working hard with our table as we ordered so much food however they kept up with it and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal and came out to help serve Brittany with a smile . Thank you jadie and the executive chef whom came out to make sure we enjoyed our food at the end of the night . The duck breast, chicken Diane, and the filet mignons I would definitely recommend and all of their appetizers were amazing!! To top it off my mother ended up getting engaged at the restaurant and a fellow restauranteur video taped it privately for us without anyone knowing! An angel from above. A perfect night at the perfect restaurant. Never knew about this place until a few weeks ago and now all I want to do is rave about the service, food and atmosphere. Next time we will be sitting outside . Thank you Pamela’s for everything! 🤩🤩

Best Mother's Day Brunch Ever! I'm visiting from out of town and was treated to lunch at this delightful restaurant. Inside was spacious and beautiful with great views of the water front. We were greeted by Emily who was just the sweetest young lady, and We were lucky enough to be seated on the deck, and while it was a little breezy we didn't want to go inside it was just too beautiful. Instead I slipped on the hoodie I had just bought in her little gift nook, Yay me. Our waitress, Leza was absolutely the best. Even with a full house we were never neglected. Now for the food, hello folks, it was delicious. For appetizers we had the Maple, bacon brussel sprouts, the Bruschetta Trio, and the Burrata. I didn't try the Burrata but those other two were tasty as h*ll. My entree was the filet mignon and that thing melted in my mouth (no photo I started eating before I remembered) The others had 'The American', 'The Beet and Goat Cheese Arugula Salad', and 'Crab cakes'. Now while I didn't sample these my companions had no complaints and everyone was left full and happy. All and all it made for a fantastic Mother's Day lunch and I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in town.

This gem of the Newburgh waterfront is truly hidden and absolutely worth finding! Even from the parking lot and walk to the entrance there is no hint of the present you’re about to open when you open the doors and step inside to meet Leza the delightful host, server and tour guide through your culinary and atmospheric experience in this beautiful and welcoming space. The whimsical painted restrooms to the right of the entrance tickle a smile immediately. The bar and dining space layout that incorporates an expansive view of the Hudson and the Newburgh Bridge is like the perfect paring to whatever meal you’ll have. I swear that pairing must make the food taste better, because each of the Sunday Brunch menu dishes that the 3 in my party had, were all delicious. Love the complimentary warm mini blueberry muffins drizzled with honey. Fairly priced dining experience that you must try. I know I can’t wait to experience it by night next time.
