The Place — Restaurant in City of Ogdensburg

My husband and I went for lunch. There was a long wait for food, even the soup of the day, to be served. However, given the staffing shortages, I can't say much about that. The decor is interesting and it does have a pub vibe. The soup of the day, tomato mac, had a sprinkle of dried parsley for garnish. It was salty for my taste. There were chunks of ground beef, but only a few pieces of overcooked macs. My husband had the Ruben which looked good, a lot of corned beef. He enjoyed it. I had the Place cheeseburger. I was not in paradise. It was moist, but with little flavor. The lettuce and tomato were generously portioned. French fries came with both orders. They were not the kind of fries we enjoy. They were tough, and tasted like the flavor had been cooked out of them. Food is served in a plastic basket. It...

Not great. Fries hard and mostly raw. Screwed up order no bacon or onion on my burger like I ordered. Bruschetta bread seemed like it was microwaved - hard on the edges mushy in center. No indication that bread was toasted or grilled. Cold pesto turkey melt. Pasta salad was bland/no flavor and noodles were mushy. They delivers on time , so that was good and whoever answered the phone was nice but the food was not on point tonight. Not sure if it was a fluke but tonights dinner left everyone wishing they had something else to eat. I used to remember it was better than what we had tonight. I dont normally leave reviews but this is an exception. Maybe its cuz of covid. I dunno. Maybe we will try again next year and see if its better like...

Went in with a friend, ordered a taco salad and a chicken parm. quesadilla. The chicken was bland no hint of flavor in it, had to keep on dunking it into the sauce to help it pass through my throat. Taco Salad was "ehh". Go in at a saturday night with only two females to wait tables, and you surely won't be helped unless you have asked. Tried their pizza, the crust was like cardboard, the pizza sauce-extremely salty. Unless you are a local in this town, you will feel unwelcome and will be stared at. Help yourself to this place in town that will serve you just anything and call it "food". I'd rather find a place which gives value for my money b'cos, This is definitely NOT...
