Oriental Palace — Restaurant in City of Peekskill

DO NOT GO! The first time I ordered from from them I watched the guy pick up my chicken wings with his bare a hands. Then when I said something they tried to pretend it didn’t happen, so I had them make a new one and waited right there. Then I did not return for months. I figured I would give them a second try. I ordered food and they messed up my order even though I ordered in person and if they had any confusion they could have just asked. I get home to realize it and call them to let me know and the aggression begins. They lied, refused to issue a refund or deliver my order as promised. So I tell them if I have to come, they will not be pleased. They then say I need to bring the food back in the original container, like you know you already set up your food to eat and you can’t get back in the container. Very petty and impossible to put in the container!!!! I am happy to give by their food but don’t like the pettiness. When I am the person that should be upset. I get there and more yelling. Then threaten to call the cops and I say what will you tell them that you messed up my food and you fee you should be upset. Do not go there they are nasty in their attitude and food preparation. As of now no one who is cooking as on a single glove. Also the always over charge on taxes and charge customers 10-20% taxes when it’s 8.5%. Take my advice and...

In the Peekskill & this side of Cortlandt area, it doesn't get better for Chinese. Food is fresh, "clean" (not too much thickener/starch, coating/batter. Often none:Yay!), hot as can be, and delivered anywhere in Peekskill with a thankful smile. Good (not great) hot&sour soup (broth isn't as properly thin EVEN at 'fridge temps as it used to be, please stop using those AWFUL THICKENERS!). Extraordinary Singapore Mei Fun. They will alter nearly any menu item if you ask when ordering, and they have ingredients for it; just ask and then don't quibble about price change. The food is VERY good, and if you ask, it is a little spicy/spicier: You get what you ask for! They happily accommodate gluten-free diets (though use your own common sense with this aspect: gluten hides everywhere, and it's tough for anyone to find all of it. But they do try. Tell them "no soy sauce unless they can show it is gluten free). NOTE: As delivery is free and they are on the EXTREME north side of Peekskill, consider giving the driver a decent tip if you're not close (please folks: they're the nicest of people).

It's pretty much TAKE OUT ONLY. not a dine-in place. No attempt at atmosphere, but that's not their thing: Taste take-away is. There are 3 tables and they're happy to have you eat their but , they are more for waiting...

I have been ordering from this place for decades and never had a problem. The last 2 times I've ordered they have forgotten something. When I called to say my items were missing they man on the phone asked if "they could give it to me next time". I said no just credit my card he said ok. 30 minutes later there is a knock on my door with a very rude delivery man asking me what was wrong as he handed me the bag. I said nothing they forgot something. He then proceeded to sigh, roll his eyes and say this was out of his way. I did not appreciate the attitude especially after giving a large tip for delivery.
