So I had about an hour to kill before my second shift at amazon. And stupid me always forgetting to bring something to eat, so I said well if something's close I'll stop by and of course I'm getting sick of all the fast food places they're just getting so expensive. But luckily I could always be in the mood for pizza anytime anywhere. I walked in the gentleman that was obviously making a pizza very friendly very down to earth. And I could always appreciate good customer service because that's 90% of the reason why I go back to a business. Well lucky for me I don't eat much on my lunch so all I got was a slice of cheese pizza. Which honesty from the size pretty good deal, there are pizza places there are charging almost $6 for that same size. Anyways the pizza wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but also not the worst. I do appreciate a well-made pizza. My first fight it was almost like eating amazing piece of steak, how we're just melts in your mouth. It wasn't completely saturated with cheese or sauce or too much crust or two little crust. Yes slice was just a little thin but that's okay with me. Can you tell your slice gave me the whole melt in your mouth feeling because the crust was cooked to perfection. The seasoning in the sauce, you can taste it but it's very very subtle. I don't want to feel like I'm eating our entire spice rack when I eat a slice of pizza. So for the price absolutely I would go back. Yes I know they make a lot more stuff than just a slice of pizza but I'm a slice of pizza at a time person. Don't like chicken wings,, sub, pasta, calzone type of person. So the only thing I would really eat at a pizza place is pizza. I don't know how I've made this review this long talking about one slice of pizza. Anyways I do recommend at least trying it once I love trying new pizza places. This place isn't too expensive it's not the worst it's not the best. I will definitely Definitely go back again on my lunch break and continue getting pizza...
Read moreThe first time I discovered Linda's I ordered a slice of Pepperoni pizza. The dough, especially the crust, was loaded with good flavors. Their pizza is great! It reminded me of another New York style pizza place I went to many years ago.
On the very next visit I ordered a Chicken Parmesan dinner and it was delicious, although I noticed the food was in a tin with a plastic top. This was slightly concerning because I wasn't expecting freezer to oven baked food and out the door in 20 minutes. I was thinking bake fresh chicken in seasoned bread crumbs, boil and strain fresh pasta, season pasta, add fresh sauce, whether it's homemade or even if it's jarred Rao.
On the third visit I ordered a calzone. It was well below standards because there was far too much Ricotta cheese. This was their idea of a great calzone!. What a shame.
On the fourth and last visit I ordered a Chicken Parmesan dinner. While it was in the trunk of my car during transport, the odor started creeping through the entire cabin with a smell similar to freezer burned Chef Boyardee spaghetti & meatball sauce trying to be brought back to life after 2 or 3 years under the frost. I was forced to break out my orange citrus spray and dose the interior just to transport this meal to its destination. The off gas was sour and overall horrid.
This is the honest to God truth. I'm not just saying this to put down the restaurant because I would like to see them become THE TOP PIZZERIA in Rochester. I wish they would start cooking fresh to oven rather than...
Read moreAuthentic, thin crust pizza! They have ALL the toppings, so you can create a pizza to match your desire. Our personal favorite is spinach, onions, mushrooms and anchovies, because my partner doesn't eat meat but will eat fish. Sadly, many of our favorite pizza places have stopped carrying spinach and anchovies of late, and gone toward more 'traditional American" preferences for sausage and pepperoni. But I'm of Sicilian-Irish descent, and grew up on REAL, home made pizza, so I love the anchovies and the vegetables, with less cheese. Oh, and speaking of cheese, Linda's has a variety to choose from-- hallelujah! We added asiago to our pizza, and it gave it a tangy, salty something extra. I only wish there had been a bit more red sauce, but I like a lot of good, well spiced red sauce on my pie. We took ours to a Concert by the Shore at Charlotte for a summer picnic, and it smelled so good that the Italian cops at the crosswalk teased us about requiring a piece in order to go past. We had far more than we needed, so my boyfriend happily handed out a slice, and then we realized we forgot to mention the anchovies! Later, when we left, the same parking guard told us that whatever it had on it, it was DELICIOUS! We agree! Can't wait to do...
