McDonald's — Restaurant in City of Rochester

Terrible is an understatement. There's another McDonald's 4 minutes away (35 Spencerport Rd), and I promise you the drive is always worth it.

At first I thought the issues were connected to the team being understaffed, so I gave them more chances to get things right. They fumbled every single one, but two resulted in this review.

The first was when I had to go back for a mistake. I only got half of what I ordered, so I went to the front desk instead of waiting in the drive-thru again. Why is the team acting like they were out with friends? Music blasting from someone's phone, a couple people dancing, another cussing at a co-worker and the person I talked to giving me attitude despite being cool about it.

The last was rough all around. After spending 20 minutes waiting for just 5 cars to be taken care of, I get my drink at the second window and am told to go to the third for my food. 10 more minutes pass and I find out they gave me water instead of Sprite, so I decided to go inside. Before I even get to the door, an employee walks up with my food, shoves it into my free hand and goes "Here".

Fam, the amount of strength I needed to hold that bag, smile and say "Thank you" was immense. I didn't even feel like getting that Sprite anymore. I ordered through my McDonald's app. On 01/07_2024 at 10:39 p.m. at the Lyell store 14606 Rochester N.Y. Restaurant number is #21643 and my order number was #27 I pre-paid on my McDonald's app with my debit card and I gave my order number to the Manager in the drive through lane, usually I would place a order for curbside, but it was 10:39 p.m. so I HAD to give my order number at the drive through tandem #1

I'll begin with saying the night manager was beyond rude, he tried to be-little me and my husband, before I even placed my order! He gave me old food! The food that I ordered was for children, (my children,) The food was hard, cold, and wrong! Also he didn't give me all my food and he made sure my food was served to me this way UNPURPOSE. I've been a manager at McDonald's for 14 years and never in my whole life have I ever seen or experienced this level of blatant rudeness. I'm so so so so madd, upset and all the above, this MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED! I will see to it that he does infact get fired! Terrible service. I had to wait for an hour to get my food. My wife made an order through the app (on 8/16/25) and I was told to pull in to one of the stalls. After 15 minutes I went in to see what was going on. No one was taking orders up front and it was another 15 minutes before anyone talked to me. I had to show 3 different people what I had ordered just to find out that it was already handed out to the wrong customer. I then waited for another 30 minutes while they remade my food and even then they still forgot our kids meal. The entire time that I was waiting for my food there was yelling and cussing from the employees. This isn't even the first time I have had a terrible experience at this location. Another time I was told to go inside from the person working drive through. The person inside asked why I went in for a mobile drive through order and told her the person on drive through told me to. As I looked outside people were going through the drive through after I had just been told to go in. Because I went in I had to wait for them to get to me while they focused on drive through orders. I get McD's sucks to work at for most (I did 22 years ago) but the attitude of this place would not fly back then. Worst McDonald's I have ever been to. We are never ordering from this...
