Parkette Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Clarksburg

We recently used the Parkette to cater our wedding. Although we love eating at the restaurant, the Parkette truly went above and beyond for our special day. We can’t say enough good things about them!

All communication was through Logan and he was very prompt and professional. He took the time to answer questions and make suggestions regarding our menu with diet restrictions and allergies. In addition, the catering menu offered so many options that we could reassure all guests were able to enjoy dinner. After many discussions, we decided on salad, rolls, grilled chicken with vegetables, green beans, and roasted potatoes.

On our wedding day, they were very prompt in arrival and setting up. Logan personally came and found us to congratulate us and make sure we were happy. The food was absolutely amazing! Many of our guests continually raved about the food, especially the grilled chicken with vegetables.

In terms of pricing, the Parkette offered great value for the quality and service provided. They worked within our budget while still delivering an exceptional culinary experience.

Atmosphere- 3 stars- this is a locally owned family restaurant that has been operating for years in Clarksburg WV. It’s a very clean restaurant but it’s trapped in time in the 70s - 80s era. Needs an update big time!! It felt dirty even though it wasn’t dirty. It’s just the outdated environment.

Service- 3 stars- the server was ok but not overly friendly. She did her job. Took awhile to get our food.

Food- 4 stars- I was a little skeptical coming here but it was busy and I had heard good things about the food. I got to say it was pretty good. I got the Ribeye Special Sandwich which claimed according to the menu to have been named best sandwich in WV in 2020. I got to say I can see why- the steak was so tender and juicy not fat or grizzle at all. It had cheese, peppers and came on grilled Italian bread- delicious!! Also had the crinkle fries and they were very good. We also got a cup of Chili with a grilled cheese sandwich. Chilli wasn’t bad but tasted kinda like Wendy’s chili. I don’t know if it was an off day or what but we will never go there again. We walked in there is a list you sign to be be seated, we signed it and went to the side and sat down the wait. More people started to come. Different waitresses came up and obviously knew these people waiting would say hi and tell them oh follow me and seat them. 4 times we watched others get seated before us that came in after us. There was 3 of us so it wasn’t like we were a large group. I finally had to ask to be seated. Then same thing happened at the tables waitresses coming and going after 15 mins one comes to us and asks if anyone helped us and gives us menus and takes our order. Then wouldn’t you know people seated after us ordered after us getting their food. We waited 30 mins no one came back to us no one said anything to us. So we just left. Wasted an hour of our time and we were super hungry then.
