TL;DR: A tasty treat at a good price but service time could improve, and it’s tough to take to go.
Stopped by Bahama Buck’s around 2p on a Wednesday, the third day they were open, and was happy to find it was steady but not busy. I ordered two regular-sized snocones: a bomb pop slush and… something with nerds. My total was around $9.
Service: Service was a little slow but not too, too bad considering they’re working out the new store kinks. My cashier was nice but forgot to calculate my freebie on the app, and unfortunately, I didn’t realize it didn’t scan until I got home. The folks who handed over my items were very nice and helped answer some questions I had.
Store: Nice. New. Clean. Exactly what you’re expect from a place that’s only been open a couple days. These cones definitely have the potential to get things sticky, so it was nice to see clean tables and chairs.
Product: Overall, very tasty. The ice wasn’t hard to scoop or eat, which is my biggest complaint from ice cream truck cones. Light and fluffy. At first, I was concerned there might not be enough syrup because the color looked lighter on the top, but that was far from the case. In fact, I felt like it was too much syrup, especially the last quarter of my sno. It was so sweet I could hardly eat it. My partner had a similar experience with his. And my biggest qualm: I really wish my cashier had asked if I was taking it to go or eating in the store. They don’t have bubble lids, and it’s melting, and it’s got fun stuff coming out of the top, and little avalanches are falling. It was not a car friendly snack, especially if you have to drive a few miles. Next time, I’ll be sure to let them know to give me a regular size in a large cup.
Price: I was pleasantly surprised by the price and size. A regular was quite large to me. And $5 for each cup seemed very reasonable.
App: The app is easy to use and has already had a couple good rewards. It also has potential to help skip longer lines, so that’s nice.

Read moreI was looking forward to a sit down tropical snow cone shop to open in North Clarksville. As a lactose intolerant person my options for dessert can be fairly limited and I was looking forward to the many different dairy free options that Bahama Bucks would offer.
I was not disappointed. The menu is huge and there are plenty of options for snow cones and there are countless flavor options and combinations.
I tried the wacky watermelon in a baby cup (pictured) as well as the açaí sorbet which the staff assured me was entirely plant based.
The sorbet was very filling and super sweet. This would be a great dessert to split with a partner. If you are very hungry it’s sure to fill you up. It has layers of granola, sorbet, as well as slices of banana, strawberry and they top it with honey. It’s a dessert worthy of a special occasion like a birthday. Though next time I think will ask them to hold the honey.
The wacky watermelon was just sno, watermelon flavor and a topping of watermelon pop rocks. But it was easy, tasty, and the baby portion was sufficient. This place is pricey with the sorbet costing almost $10 and the baby sno cup coming in at around $5.
But the location is fun, inviting, and full of board games the family can enjoy while they wait for their food. They will wait because the place is pretty slow at the moment. It doesn’t appear to be a staffing issue as I counted almost 10 staff members behind the counter. They also have four sno stations. I think they need time to get fully ramped up.
It’s a fun place with all kinds of options for the entire family. I won’t hesitate to return to...
Read moreI meant to do this a long long time ago however, life happened. I recently remembered because of an important date in my life. Every September is Suicide Prevention Month. Last September, 2024, I had lost two close friends to suicide that year. Whenever I am sad, instead of craving ice cream, I crave snowcones. lol. I went in one September day and I saw something on the whiteboard on the right hand side facing the POS. (Point-of-Sale).
I had said something because one of my friends who died, her birthday was also that day I visited. I mumbled something and the person up front went ahead and comped my smoothie.
Not expecting that. I was utterly in awe. It made me so happy and I cried because it not only was my friends b-day but it was her favorite smoothie. It was just an emotional day.
Nevertheless, as a person who enjoys snowcones, shaved ice, snowballs. ( If you ever go to Bowling Green, KY; be sure to visit Pelicans Snowballs.) I always have an amazing experience at Bahama Bucks. They are amazing. Amazing staff. Restrooms always clean. Games are great. Thye be just great! Ha. Highly recommend this location!!
Thank you Bill and Ciera for possessing a...
