UPDATE: WE HAVE BEEN ORDERING FOUR BROTHERS WOOD-FIRED PIZZA FOR DELIVERY FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW AND ARE NEVER DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FOOD. IT IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS AND BETTER THAN THE FIRST TIME WE HAD IT. I STILL WISH THEY DID THE WOOD-FIRE THE TRADITIONAL WAY (AND LOSE THE TURNTABLE), BUT OH WELL.
MY GRIPE ABOUT THE DELIVERY IS THAT IT'S NOT CONSISTENT BECAUSE THEY USE A THIRD PARTY DELIVERY SERVICE. SOMETIMES IT COMES HOT, SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. SOMETIMES IT COMES IN A TIMELY MANNER (WE LIVE LESS THAN 10 MINUTES FROM THE PLACE, BUT DELIVERY IS ALWAYS SLOW - AS IF THEY DELIVER TO A FEW OTHER SPOTS FIRST).
SO, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR GOOD QUALITY PIZZA WITH FRESH INGREDIENTS...CHECK OUT FOUR BROTHERS!
UPDATED FROM: Not what I expected. The pizza is pretty good, but certainly not the best in town.
I was really looking forward to this place because I was looking for a nice place to go out for a pizza pie...a place with a wood-fired pizza ambience. The dining area leaves a lot to be desired. For one, it's not big enough and it's very unorganized, not laid out very well. Seating is too tight and it's pretty warm in there because of that wood-fired oven, which I think, they should have found a way to showcase more because it's a pretty cool looking oven. Tonight there was a 45 minute wait, which I am pretty cool with because I understand they just opened and lots of people want to check them out. Plus, I was taking this home with me and not eating there. But, if I were eating there, I would be pretty upset with a 45 minute wait and no fountain drinks...just a drink fridge with some single serve sodas and two liter bottles, but no cups at all. Not sure if they plan on getting a fountain drink station, but that's a big, big oversight if they don't. Overall it's just not an eye-pleasing dining room or environment to eat a pizza pie. I know lots of people like to drink beer with their pie, I'm all about some root beer and nice seating.
Now, onto the pizza. Wood-fired pizza is the best pizza ever. It takes a lot of work to be a pizzaiolo with a wood fired pizza because you have a lot to pay attention to when the pies are in the oven. Who's pie is where? When to move it away from the fire to finish it off? Lots of things come into play for the individual running the pies into the oven. Here, they've taken the guesswork out of it all with a rotating cooking surface in the oven. Personally, I think that's a mistake and why the pizza (in my opinion) turned out to be just okay.
I ordered two Big Bros pies...one Margherita and one with pepperoni, green peppers, and onions (the latter was ordered so we could compare it to our favorite place that serves up New York style pies in town). The sauce tasted a little sweet, I am really interested how long they take to prepare their special FourBros Sauce (only because it did not taste homemade, which I presume it is if you through your name on it). Bottom line is that this pie does not compare to our favorite in town. Adding a Margherita pie to your menu means you gotta really bring it! That's such a special pie, with such simple ingredients, but they gotta be great to pull it all together. Again, my opinion...they did not bring it with this pie.
We definitely be back, hopefully to dine in of the dining portion of the place is transformed, a second time to see if the kinks have been worked out...and I hope they do. Staff was super friendly! I've read great things about the owners and I really wish them the best in this endeavour. It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there like they're...hope they can...
Read moreThis place is an absolute joke. I placed an order on their website at 6:52. The only option to select is ASAP. After paying for the pizza you get an update with when your pizza should be ready. The app said up to 90 minutes. I got to the restaurant at 8:04 and they said it would be at least 30 minutes or more before they can get to my order. I asked to cancel my order. They said it can’t be cancelled until after close of business and refused to provide any proof that it was cancelled. They have no idea how to manage orders. There’s just receipts laying all over the counter behind the register with scribbles in sharpie written on them. This place needs new management processes to handle options better. If you don’t believe me just look at all the other reviews where people say it takes 2 hours to get a pizza.
Update to respond to the reply: I came into your store 20 minutes prior to my order being ready and the review being posted at 8:17 has nothing to do with the pizza but how your manager handled the situation when I asked about my order. The girl told me around 50 minutes which I questioned. The manager then told me he wouldn’t be able to start making my pizzas for 30 minutes. Which including cook time would be after the 90 minute mark for wait time. When you place the order on your website it doesn’t give you an estimated time until after you enter payment information and confirm your order so you are incorrect stating that I knew it would be over 90 minutes prior to placing an order. I also have not received an email confirmation that my order was cancelled but I did however receive an email from my credit card company that this charge was authorized on my account after I flagged it. I will use your response to my review as proof of times when I...
Read moreUpdate - Response to Owner - Yes, I was ABSOLUTELY quoted an incorrect time. I arrived and paid for my order at 7:12pm per my bank statement. I was quoted 7:15pm for pickup, so I even picked up 3 mins prior and my pizza was COLD. The cheese wasn’t even melted, it was hard. I also have an electric vehicle that had heated seats that were going fully in anticipation only to have cold pizza. It was as if the pizzas had been made and were sitting for at least 20 minutes before the quoted pick up time I was given. When we were eating the pizzas, it was like you were eating cold day old pizza.
This is the first and probably last time we ever order from here again, unless some sort of refund. I ordered two pizzas (Margherita and Beesting) along with the cheese bread and pizza sauce. It was at 6pm on a Friday night, and I was quoted that my food would be ready about 1 hour and 15 mins later at 7:15pm. My total was about $50, pretty pricey but the descriptions sounded like they used high quality ingredients. Once I got into my car after getting my order at 7:15, I took a bite of the margherita pizza; it was cold and soggy, with underwhelming flavor. When I got home, I tried the cheese bread dipped into the pizza sauce and then again, both elements had a lack of flavor, and the sauce was watery too. I was incredibly excited for the beesting, but after taking a bite, discovered it was cold and soggy as well, and this pizza was supposed to have a DRIZZLE of hot honey, and it was like it had been doused in it. There was nothing to taste except HOT, and there wasn’t even a flavor to the hot. Please don’t waste your time and money going to this pizza place. You go expecting high quality, but get overpriced, small portioned, cold,...
