I know this location just opened, so I’m writing this review with a lot of mercy. But given the number of negative reviews already posted—and the fact that management seems to respond with the same copy-paste reply—it feels like feedback isn’t being taken seriously. So this review is mainly for future customers, so you know what to expect.
When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty (12 open tables), yet we were told it would be a 40–60 minute wait. While waiting, I watched six more tables clear out, leaving only about six occupied. I also noticed two DoorDash drivers who had already been waiting over an hour for their orders.
The staff, unfortunately, seemed poorly trained and unmotivated. And the crazy part is how lazy the manager was (and big part of the staff as well)Most were standing in the back doing nothing, while customers were left waiting. After about 20 minutes (and after several parties ahead of us gave up and left), we were finally seated.
As soon as we sat down, our server told us—on the manager’s orders—that food would take another 45 minutes after placing the order. I said that was fine and that I already knew what I wanted, but the server initially refused to take my food order, insisting I had to order drinks first. Only when she saw my expression did she reluctantly agree to put in the food order (which was honestly comical).
Our food finally arrived 43 minutes later—even though the restaurant only had about five occupied tables at that point. During that time, three different tables left out of frustration. One of them even confronted the manager directly, and she didn’t apologize or offer any solution—just shrugged and said there was “nothing she could do.”
And when the food finally came, it wasn’t bad - it was terrible. Nothing was hot, nothing was fresh, frozen food poorly warmed up. I paid an extra $1.49 to substitute grits for “fresh fruit,” and what I got was two tiny pieces of melon, half a strawberry, and two or 3 blueberries and one grape . It looked sad and definitely not worth the upcharge.
To be clear, our waitress herself was very sweet and the best one in the staff there day—it was obvious this mess wasn’t her fault. The real problem is poor management and lack of training.
On top of everything, the bathroom situation was critical. I’ve been to gas stations with cleaner restrooms. The floor was black, the toilet was full of hair, and the sink had stains and mold. For a brand-new restaurant, that level of cleanliness is unacceptable and really concerning
For a Sunday brunch spot, this is crazy—empty dining room, long waits, cold food, and such poor service. For a concept like Eggs Up Grill, which should be quick, casual, and family-friendly, this was a huge disappointment. Hopefully they fix management, training, and food quality soon, because right now the experience is nowhere near what...
Read moreI am really disappointed with this place. The launch week was terrible, and it's so sad because I was so excited to give this place an honest shot. I've been here TWICE, and both times my experiences were horrible and sub-par at best.
The killer about dining in here is the wait times for seating, slow service, AND the food waiting times. I'm not sure if they just hired everyone that needed a job with ZERO experience in the food and service industry, but it really is a pitiful experience. Between waiting 30 minutes to be sat, then waiting 15 minutes waiting to be greeted and drink orders taken, to the Expeditor NOT expediting, tables sitting dirty for half an hour before they're bussed and cleaned, AND your food waiting time averaging from 35-50 minutes for flavorless COLD FOOD? I will not be returning.. at least not for a few months until this place can get itself together. It really is so chaotic behind the counter and there's so much business pouring in but the staff is CLEARLY overwhelmed on all accounts. The Kitchen is behind, the servers are behind, and nothing is flowing out at a reasonable pace. I don't know if it's lack of managing, or not enough staff, or maybe this place is too small for the business it's getting.. I really don't know what could make this place better. The only thing I really enjoyed about the restaurant is the decor.. but the decor isn't enough to keep faithful customers returning to your business. I say this as someone who used to wait on tables for 4 years: Please properly train your serving staff. Having an expeditor that KNOWS how to communicate and how to push out orders, and helps run plates when servers are busy goes a LONG way. NO ONE should be dining at a BRUNCH place for 2 HOURS!!!!!!! What...
Read moreI am an out of towner here on business. I found this place on the internet and decided to give it a try. This place has great potential however some of the servers need to be trained extensively namely Cameron. I was seated and waited about 30 minutes to be recognized by the waiter. Before I knew that Cameron was my waiter, he had passed me several times. When he did show up, it was to tell me wait longer. I asked for a drink as I wait. After 10 minutes, I received my drink, no straw. I had to flag him down for a straw. I asked how long my food would be and he replied 30 minutes so I waited. He also asked if I wanted it to go; NO. I also witnessed Cameron walk to the front and tell the greeter that the family who was seated waiting for a table…they have to go. I felt very bad for them While waiting, I asked for a manager to tell her that I didn’t want him to visit my table again. Who returns? Cameron. He brought my food and argued about that my egg was the way HE thought it should be. Also, I witnessed a family of three (2 adults and a child) or food in which the child never received his food. The adults ate and child’s food never came because Cameron didn’t order it. This is not okay. Latonya was absolutely wonderful in trying to cover his tracks and do her job. This is a nice play that I wish nothing but the best however you cannot do with this young man....
