Excellent. We both ordered the chile relleno burrito. I ordered the beef, my husband the cheese. That first bite was so good that I never considered to offer him a bite to compare. The gal who took our order, Amanda, asked if we wanted any add ons, such as peppers? Yes! And grilled onions, please. She asked, jalapeños or bell? Bell since the hotness of jalapeños vary. Three words, de lish ous!! My husband muttered between bites, this is great! The bill was just over $10 and nothing extra for the add ons. Crazy good at an amazing price. Looking for a wayside lunchstop on a return trip across Texas from NM to LA we eschewed the obvious Subway and sought a local eatery. Lupita's looked right. Fantastic choice! Very quiet at the time but service was immediate and friendly. When the food arrived we were delighted by everyone's selection. Delicious and right sized local specialty dishes. Served with a welcome and a smile. We even received a complementary dessert of mini sopapillas before departing. Very good value as well! The reviews were so great that we had to stop on our way through. We each got the Rex plate for $8.99. my husband got it just as it was written. He said the bacon was excellent. He also said he believed the bread was either made here or from a bakery. He said it was great. I got it without bacon and asked for flour tortillas rather than toast. The tortillas also seem to be made here. They are also very good. The refried beans don't have lard and have actual bits of beans in them. They are really good. Actually, everything was very good.
