The pizza is.... And I can't stress this enough.... ABSOLUTE TRASH. Maybe the worst I've ever had. I'm talking about the same grade as Chuckie cheese, maybe a little worse. I'd rather eat garbage. It tastes like nothing, even after drowning it in Italian spices and garlic.... Which trust me you're going to need to do. The cheese is cheap and oily. They give you enough cheese, but it's so poor and greasy you almost wish that they didn't. The sauce is half a step better than spaghetti O's. The crust is tasteless cardboard and id say it was slightly higher quality than the cheese and sauce. It's somehow cheap but super expensive 4 slices and a soda was almost $16. They didn't put prices on their menus and I now understand why. The atmosphere is..... Well it's 100 degrees in here as im typing this I have sweat dripping down my face. I'm trying to hurry so I can get out of here and back to my car. Otherwise it's..... Sparse. The menu is a freaking mess.... My picture is only the one side! So overcrowded with different items they are either using old ingredients or throwing away a fortune in expired products. The service was the "best" part of the experience. Best being highly relative. There's noone else in here so it was quick enough. Otherwise they dropped off the plates without a word. Not friendly, not rude. Barely the bare minimum of being professionally polite. To summarize..... I'd rather eat out of a dumpster of a different pizzeria. And there's a lot around. Pizza Palace down the road is way better. Two cousins is two minutes down the road in the other direction and decent for a chain. You have two downtown. And another by Giant. And they are all much much better than this. It's a damn shame, Pepe's was fantastic. And this can't even light a candle to it. I don't give this place very long. I can't wait to see what moves in when A&M inevitably closes. Alright now I'm going to go try to cool down somewhere........
Read moreLet me just start this with pointing out that 3 very positive reviews were only submitted right after the very first review, a negative one, was submitted. Those don’t seem legitimate due to that timing and my and the other reviewer’s experiences. I liked the pizza here when it was Pepe’s Pizza. The people running the place were nice, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. This was sadly not the case with my latest visit to the restaurant rebranded as A&M Pizza. Let’s start with the positive, I guess: The staff were fine. Not overly friendly, not rude, just fine. I personally like to be left alone and not chatted to too much when I eat, so I liked this arrangement. That’s all I have to say for the positive. The pizza itself was by far the worst part of my experience. I was so hungry that I was able to finish my slices, but they were the most flavorless slices I’ve ever eaten. How do you mess up plain cheese pizza? I would've added parmesan if they had it, but I settled for their oregano and garlic powder which still didn't really do much for the taste. They were also dripping with grease, so that didn't help, but I’m mostly just offended at the nothingness I experienced in each bite. I never thought you could suck the soul out of cheese to this extent, but A&M has managed it. Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, invest in an air conditioner or two. The air was stagnant in spite of the tiny floor fan doing its very best, and it was absolutely sweltering hot in there. I don’t usually sweat much, but my clothes were sticking to me in this heat. That was my honest experience here. I don’t know where the positive reviews came from (I suspect it was the staff), but there’s no way I’m eating here ever again. The next time I want pizza, I’m going literally anywhere else and getting an entire pie for the same price while also having the ability...
Read moreJust to give context, I've never been to this shop when it was Pepe's Pizza so I will not compare it to after A&M took over. After some of the lengthy negative reviews, I was a little cautious to come here but I'm glad I listened to the positive ones! I can't speak for the pizza or the dining experience as we did take-out, but the sandwiches and sides we got were delicious! I got the Cheesesteak combo that got me a large portion of food and a drink for only $15. While the Cheesesteak isn't as long as other sub rolls, it was very thick with perfect amount of meat and cheese on a roll that wasn't too soft or hard. The combo came with a generous amount of fries, and they were also cooked perfectly and delicious! We also got the pickle fries and those also came with a generous amount. My girlfriend got the Baked Ziti and instantly received a call from the restaurant that they were out of the requested sauce and offered us a chance to select a different sauce. I appreciate them confirming with us. The pasta came with a large side salad and my girlfriend was surprised to like the pasta as she can be picky with her pasta. Only issue she has was it was the sauce was maybe a bit too creamy. Overall, our dinner was delicious and I feel the cost was reasonable. We will definitely...
