Come with an empty stomach as you’ll be experiencing a special culinary delight at this restaurant! We were a group of 8, 4 minors and 4 adults, visiting on a recent trip to Ronald, WA. The kids ordered the pepperoni flatbread, my sister and brother in law ordered the steak, my husband and I shared the chicken dinner with an additional side of Mac and cheese along with mashed potatoes. I’d lie if I said my mouth was not watering thinking about the truffle Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The flavours of the chicken and salad were absolutely amazing, they took such simple ingredients and turned them into something extraordinary. I’ve never seen my husband eat as much and as fast as he did, he appreciated every bite! The kids left literally no trace of the flatbread, the steak….cooked to perfection, so juicy and flavourful served with crisp asparagus. Now the wine flights, if you are a wine drinker not only is it economically sensible to order these flights because you get literally 5 - 6oz glasses of each wine, for $20! If this restaurant wasn’t 3.5 hours away from our home we’d be here every weekend minimum, absolutely amazing. The service? Stellar! They take care of their guests, from kids to adults we were beyond satisfied. Yay to us moms for booking this reservation, I’ll be eating sad chicken and mashed potatoes at home till we...
Read moreThe view is a 10/10 but the quality of service lacks from its standards. I’m an Industry worker and don’t really ever go out to other wineries to enjoy and pass my time in peace. I had asked our server if they do Industry discounts for a wine tasting, and she said yes as long as I provide a business card. She took our order and said she would ask her manager if she could take any other credential other than my business card. I was expecting my server to come back to give me an answer as to if they could take any another form of credential to prove that I’m an industry worker. A good 15 minutes pass by and she comes with my flight and said that they don’t take anything else other than a business card. Already, with a flight in her hands. I didn’t have the heart to send her back with the 5 glasses of wine she had just sat down on my table. I was more or less expecting to have at least an option or an answer before being served. I’m not going to let this one bad experience leave a bitter taste in my mouth no pun intended. I work in the same industry and understand the importance of the hospitality side. This is a very expensive/exclusive place and honestly, I just expected a little more quality. Our server was a sweetheart we just wish management could of been a bit more flexible and...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at Swiftwater Cellars last night. Despite making a reservation for a party of 8 adults, we were seated at a table set for 7—with three of the settings being children’s menus. We brought this to the host’s attention, but still had to pull over an extra chair ourselves and wait 15 minutes just to receive water and the missing place setting.
Unfortunately, the service continued to be frustrating throughout the evening. It took 30 minutes before anyone took our drink orders, and after receiving them, we waited over an hour before we were finally able to order food. The restaurant was not particularly busy, and several other tables that were seated after us had already been fully served and finished their meals before we received ours. When our food finally arrived, several of the orders were incorrect.
To their credit, the food itself was quite good once it arrived—but the experience leading up to it was disorganized and inattentive. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, the service fell far below expectations.
We were offered a small discount to acknowledge the excessive delays, but it was completely offset by the automatic gratuity added for our large party—making the gesture feel hollow, given the overall lack of...
