Frostbite Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Clendenin

not too thrilled with the experience. as prior my visit, i had called in my order. upon arrival, i waited my turn, one customer ahead of me, but otherwise no line. i told the woman i had called in an order, and my name, she said shed get my order, came back, and proceeded with the transaction. after cashed out, i said i needed another transaction, she didnt seem very much indifferent at all this whole time but now she seemed more so. i ordered 3 ice creams, and then she told me the total, i handed money to her but as doing so, said "i have the (# of odd cents exactly)" she then said she already processed transaction .. so kinda thought 'well damn alright then..' and replied with something to the effect of 'oh my bad'. she then was almost deliberately paced in her movements and processes of filling the order. the order in front of me was served out...the next 2 orders were served out, that came up after me, time frame of easy five to ten minutes! at one point the window was open, as i observed her, mocking the whole transaction that occurred. she still took time with the remaining process of the order. i just think, if your demeanor is going to be as such, then, perhaps, customer service, is not...

Located in Clendenin, Okay based on my first visit to this dairy bar, I was pleasantly pleased. There is not much in the area to choose from, but they are very clean and staff helpful and nice.

I climbed the steps to the second floor decking where you place your order at the window. There is a lot of flooding in this area with Elk River and Big Sandy right there as well, so that explains the high rise eatery.

There are 2 windows but on this visit only one was open. I waited my turn. The decking is more like a porch with a roof. The menu is posted twice on the walls near each window. They have burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and sandwiches, corn dogs, fries, drinks, ice cream....as you can see about everything

I ordered 2 hot dogs with everything which included mustard, chili, slaw and onions. Also a large Pepsi total was under $7. She asked me which car was mine and told me they would bring it out.

A throwback to the days of old when good hotdogs were plentiful in Clendenin. We sampled a variety of items. WV hotdog, chili cheese, cheese fries, bacon cheese fries, hush puppies, and of course ice cream. The hotdogs came wrapped in wax paper and were steamed to perfection. The coleslaw was creamy and the onions chopped so fine you barley knew they were there. The chili was on the bland side but I'll forgive them that. The dogs themselves were all beef and had a good flavor to them. Overall a 4/5 star hotdog in my book. The fries were generously portioned and they weren't skimpy with the nacho cheese. The hush puppies were wonderful, I went back and ordered a dozen of them as their only fault is they are on the small side. They had a wonderful corn mill crispy texture and good flavor. Little balls of fries perfection. Ice cream was traditional frozen yogurt variety, creamy and good. Overall, best hotdogs on the...
