Auntie’s Soul Food Diner — Restaurant in Clermont

What happened? We ordered the Thanksgiving side dishes. Small Mac n cheese $30.00 of overcooked noodles with cheese tossed on top. No seasoning whatsoever. Rubbery, squishy noodles are not good. Small Green Beans $20.00 for an opened can of beans left cooking in their own water. Again, no seasoning and overcooked Small Cornbread Dressing, $20.00 of sticky paste in a pan. I've made Cornbread dressing and it didn't look like that. It was gummy and we could not eat it. Small Gravy $6.00 Never got that, they ran short (even though we pre-ordered 2 weeks in advance) and it wasn't ever refunded back. So, $82.50 including tax for food we could not eat because it was terrible or didn't even get. That's shameful. We used to love this place, but it's gone way down in quality the past 2 months or so. Sorry, but if this isn't made right and the food quality stays low. Maybe that new cook isn't so great after all?? Then we won't go back nor suggest this...

I don't understand the ratings, this is amish bland food at best. If you want real soul food go to Soul Food of Buford. This place lacks flavor, flavor and more flavor. Even the peach cobbler made with canned peaches was bland. For the price $18 with tip for 1 chicken breast, 3 tiny hush puppies, a piece of corn bread and the cobbler (no drink) I got robbed. They didn't even get my order correct and there were only 3 other tables with couples. It took 20 minutes to get my order then they took the whole plate back (after I took a bite of a hush puppy) for another good 5 minutes to get it right. So sad. So disappointed. I've been trying to get a quote for a large party for several days. These people do not respond in a timely manner. I don't know how the food taste and I never will because of poor communication on their part. The person running the Facebook page is rude and says they don't have time to be on social media yet they promote their business on Facebook and say message us for more info.
