I was strong-armed for .70 by the window attendant on a drive-through order. I ordered a double cheeseburger which costs $2.59 but my bill came to $3.30. I paid on the app, and when I got to the window I asked the you g lady for a receipt and she told me UD get it at the next window (which I knew was bogus because they don’t issue receipts at the next window). I would have stayed and protested but I had to get somewhere important. I went to the BBB’s website and seen that this happened in another state also and that .70 is the amount that some franchises are collecting for charity. I don’t mind giving but just don’t take my money and then refuse me a receipt. If this location tried this again they will have hell to pay and I will be taking legal action. Can you imagine how many people they’re probably unknowingly adding .70 to their bill? It’s sad. Not a good look, McDonald’s.
🆕 Update (1/21/2025) The proprietor at the 105th and St. Clair location does not follow the directions of corporate when it comes to promotions! I went through the drive-thru to claim my free McDonalds frie and was told at the window that it costed 2 dollars, I told the young man that its normally free. I was refused my frie promotion. When i looked at my app it was shown that it was redeemed and I noticed a charge for an extra sauce packet (that I did not order). Its what the proprietor put in place to charge people. He is very dishonorable! This is not the first time over the years that Ive had problems with promotions at this location! If you will look inside my app previous purchases, youll see I avoid this McDonalds and go to Lakewood. Please correct this gentleman because this is not what Ray...
Read moreI went to get my husband and I something to eat. I ordered 2 20 piece nuggets and 2 large fries. Get to first window paid for order, no problem. Get to second window and had to wait OK again, no problem. Young man comes to window and asked me did I have 1 10 piece and 2 large fries. I started no that it's 2 20 piece and 2 large fry. With attitude slams window. Comes back with order, "have a good day, he says again with attitude" and shoves food in my hand. So, I look in the bag, now I'm aggravated. 1, 20 piece and 2 large fry. So, I say this is not right. And explained what I ordered, he says " OK, give me the bag, again with attitude. At this point I'm just ready to go. He comes back with the order again shoves the bag in my hand, "have a good day" with attitude like I'm getting on his nerves. I looked in the bag again, This time my order was correct. The audacity to have an attitude cause you can't get a simple order correct is beyond me. Their attitude is horrible and the only reason I even went there is cause they are close to home. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. The only thing good that came from this shenanigan of a place to work, is my food was to...
Read moreI didn't put any stars up for service because that is the point of my review. Whoever that morning crew is that takes the orders needs to cook and not have person to person contact with customers. They are rude, disengaged, condescending, and just give overall poor customer service. A manager (or whoever was working the second window) was spoken to about it yesterday morning, her detachment was alarming for a person in a supervisory capacity. She said "you know how they are fresh out of high school", like that somehow justified his poor service attitude. The young lady this morning was even worse. No one wants to start their day dealing with people who either aren't awake or make it obvious they would rather being doing something else. Do better or find somewhere...
