I'm going to write the type of review I'd like to see. For those of us who get anxious going to be places.
There is a parking attendant in the lot. There is a flight of stairs up. Once you get to the top you pay cash. It's a cash only establishment. While they say all inclusive fee that's a bit confusing because:
In the schvitz there is an attendant. We had Cory who was amazing. You can have him give you a scrub down with a bristle brush. Then he flogs you with oak leaves. You start face down, then face up, then face down again. He works in the top corner so it's hot. I had been in the schvitz for 20 minutes before he started and I had to tap out to cool off. Lesson learned: don't go in until it's time to see the attendant. This will cost you $20 and we also gave a tip.
After that I had a 30 minute massage from Keith. He was superb. You pull down the top of your swimsuit and are covered in a towel. You start face down. I'm nursing a shoulder injury and my shoulder had been frozen for weeks despite massages. After Keith worked on me I cried from relief and I could move my shoulder. He's got magic hands. Massage is $35 and we tipped.
We had an assigned table in the dining room upstairs. We stopped in to drink water and snack on the pickles and peppers provided.
There is a cold plunge. I didn't make it on past my knees. There are showers outside the schvitz but mind the floors that are unlevel. There is also a shower upstairs that is level for those with mobility issues.
There is an enclosed outdoor space for relaxing or smoking. Towels are provided. I am going to take a robe next time. They also sell robes.
Everyone that was there was kind and lovely. They were watching the football game in the dining room and it felt like I was watching with family.
Then they fed me a salad followed by the biggest steak I've ever seen. You can get garlic, onions, and peppers on top and it's served with roasted potatoes. You can also partake of any of the soft drinks in the cooler.
Can't...

Sauna, cold plunge, showers, towels, delicious steak dinner (or fish or vegetarian) for one all inclusive price! Can add on 30 min massage and/or Platza for extra charge. BYOB so enjoy your own wine, booze, or beers, as well as whatever snacks you want to bring! Theres also nonalcoholic beverages available and some beer and hard seltzer choices too, included in your price! The sauna is perfect! Depending on where you sit will determine how hot you get, closer to the floor is cooler, closer to the ceiling is hotter. The Platza is a great add on in the sauna. The guy who does it is cute! My massage was also great! Both add on options have a sign up sheet to book, and just bring cash and tip for the services! The dinner is absolutely delicious! The dressing for the salad is so delish, the warm crusty bread is hearty and tasty, and the steak dinner!!! Best in Cleveland!! Steak is coated in garlic and perfectly cooked to temperature! The service is phenomenal and the day at the Schvitz is everything you could hope for!!! Be sure to tip when you are checking in, all the staff splits it and everyone takes such good care of you. Don’t worry about the area, there is a parking lot attendant and the building itself is very...
Read moreFor years I declined opportunities to experience The Schvitz. I was intimidated by the idea of sitting in a steam room with a group of strangers and assumed I would be judged for doing or saying the wrong thing. My experience was far different from what I built up in my mind. I think when you sit in a towel, eat, drink, and converse with your friends and strangers you realize there are no assumptions or judgements. There is a common ground built through the sharing of a series of fabrications, alcohol, food, and nostalgia. I had the steak and it was absolutely PERFECT! By far the best steak in the greater NE Ohio area! I look back now and regret the many years I missed out on the experience. I thought I might be a one and done, but I will hopefully return many times and hope to pass this experience on to my two sons. Thank you to all who made my...
