The food was good and so was the atmosphere. It’s a pub and grill so we expected laid back and some don’t do table service so we even expected that as a possibility since we’d never been there. Sadly the service is what brought it down and no table service would have been better. The two servers were very nice that we had so their demeanor wasn’t even the problem. It was the fact that the one who took our order did not listen. Husbands drink ordered was a whiskey sour. Server asked “straight up or on the rocks” we looked confused because that’s never asked and she said “do you want ice” which was a yes. He received straight up whiskey on ice. I ordered a “Chicken Fiesta Taco Wrap”, she asked “Do you want Beef or Chicken”. Husband ordered a Deluxe Italian Beef and he just got the basket instead. The food & the atmosphere here will always be the best in southern Wisconsin for me. They have always made me feel like family and right at home when I came to visit my dad from out of state. The steaks are amazing and Randi’s soups and chili are the best on those cold winter nights. I will always recommend this place to anyone passing through Clinton, WI.
