El Poblano Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Clinton

This was the first time eating here. I walked in and at first I shrugged off the lack of customers given the previous restaurants didn't last long. So other than that, my next thoughts are typically the smell of the establishment upon entry. If the lack of customers is present but it didn't smell uninviting, then I figured maybe not many people ate there yet. We'll to my shock... the service was ON POINT AND PERFECT! Then, the food.... WOW! IT WAS A SHOCK to have such amazing food, not like typical ones with minimal flavors but a perfect blend to fill that palette of mystery. I began to notice all the booths filling up and when we left it was a wait for a table and not one empty seat there! The Margaritas are an absolute must! Very big fan of Margaritas, however I'll take the hour drive weekly to have the BEST Mexican style food around....

We were on a road trip down the east coast and we were tired of fast food. We pulled over in Clinton, SC and found this amazing Mexican restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with enthusiasm and sat immediately. They were very busy, and people kept coming in, but they have a stated that gets everyone seated and ready to be served within seconds. The food was tasty, prices were very affordable, and the service was stellar. A bonus for me was hearing the Spanish language spoken by all employees as it made me feel right at home and was a very different vibe than what we had seen on the rest of our road trip. First time customer order. I called in an to-go order for 2 chicken quesadillas. I was asked if I wanted shredded or grilled chicken as well as if I wanted peppers and onions. asked how much, he repeated 10 minutes for pick up.The two regular quesadillas I requested was upgraded to 2 chicken fajita quesadillas, double the price unexpectedly. I was on lunch break from work, so made big deal of it and it tasted pretty good and was packaged to-go pretty well. Advice, clarify order and price when ordering and before paying.
