Stopped in 30 mins after they opened so about 1130. Counter lady was very polite and welcoming. The building is about what you would expect, slightly run down and showing its age, however it seemed clean. Ordered the General Tso's lunch special. (Comes with fried rice and an eggroll.) I asked for extra spicy and extra sauce. Was even asked if I wanted it VERY spicy and I replied yes. Food was ready in about 10 mins, and I headed home. (quick trip) Chicken was still hot but had NO spice that I could detect at all. Had to stir in some hot sesame oil to bring the heat. Sauce was thin, bland and very little was in the bowl. Broccoli was missing completely. It is a usual accompaniment with General Tao's and was even featured on their menu. Rice was luke warm and very bland with little to no seasoning at all. And of course, there wasn't enough of the Tao's sauce to flavor the rice, so I also settled for sprinkling hot sesame oil on the rice along with several packets of soy sauce and nuked it. Eggroll was fried fresh but was very bland and no better than any frozen grocery store cabbage eggroll. Lunch cost about 12+ for the Tao's lunch special but did not meet even the expectations of some strip mall dives where I used to be able to get a lackluster General Tao's for about 8 bucks. I get it, prices have gone up. But if you expect to get those prices, Quality should be one of the perks. It's a...
Read moreI only give it one star because none wasn't an option. WARNING: if you think you are getting what you think is "Chinese Food", move on to the next joint. I was told they didn't have "Kung Pao Chicken", even though it was on the menu. I should have known something was up when they didn't have "Chicken & Broccoli". Now, to be fair, the staff was kind and nice. We picked our order right at closing time and they were very accommodating. This is solely about the food, which was horrible. The wonton soup was akin to dishwater. The egg drop soup was made with water instead of broth. The Lo Mein was fettucini with nothing on it. It was comepletely flavorless and unappealing. The General Tso's Chicken looked unlike any General's Chicken I have ever ordered anywhere in my life and did not taste at all like General's Chicken. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was as flavorless and bland as you'd expect. It was the most disappointing meal I have had in ages. The Sweet & Sour Chicken didn't seem to be messed up, but then again...it's fried chicken nuggets basically.
Again...if you want Chinese Food, go anywhere else. If you're in the mood for an experiment and a surprise, give it a shot. I wouldn't. But then again I was expecting Chinese Food and was sorely disappointed.
Again. A+++ on the friendliness, cleanliness and customer service. Too bad I couldn't...
Read moreI’ve ordered from here a quite few times. It’s not greatest but decent. It’s more of convenience than anything as I’m literally 5 mins away! But One time both my husband and son got really bad sick they both got sesame chicken. I got something different and was ok. I like it’s close by. But after today I won’t be ordering here anymore. I ordered 2 meals and large hot sour soup! Ordered online like I’ve always done. I got home, had a large egg drop soup. I HATE egg drop!! So I called to see if I could bring it back to exchange for hot sour or do something else bc it’s $6.99 plus tax so not cheap for a soup! I won’t eat egg drop yuck it’s disgusting!! They absolutely refused to exchange saying it was all my fault. I checked my order twice before submitting it! Trust me idk what happened but my SIDE SAID HOT SOUR!! Last 35$ they’ll get out of me! Before that we ordered like 60$ like two times js. I’ve spent money here! You’re going to be like that over a soup??? My issue is ALL the soups are the same price! I’m not sure what the big deal is! But they’d rather me throw it away n waste food, A 7.5$ soup!! LITTLE CHINA was 10x better. I’ll go elsewhere...
