Could there be a 0 please. Letâs start off with the atmosphere. The temperature outside was mild and inside was freezing. We told the hostess and she stated it was not....
The wait staff was attentive, but pushy to take our drink orders and get the order chef to the table. We had just seated all of our party and felt like we could barely review the menu (this was our first time).
The wait staff was quick to bring butter and other condiments to the table.
The food arrives. First was our daughterâs Brat and fries. The brat was so small... literally the smallest l âsausageâ Iâve ever seen. It was on a bun that literally offered 75% more bun than meat. Her impression was that it was âgrossâ. My meal, 10 wings from the appetizer menu was prepared rather well, but the mango habanero sauce that was used lacked any sweetness, and offered no heat that normally comes with a sauce like this. The wings were cooked well, but other than that tasteless and not very appetizing.
The next three meals all included for meals the blue burger. The Blue Jack cheese was good, on each burger there were about four mushrooms which were very small and then proportion did not fill the burger. All three burgers were requested to be medium cooked, which in 99% of restaurants is a light pink center but warm all the way through. The cook described their medium as being pink and not âbloodyâ. Our burgers arrived and all three burgers were severely under cooked. My wifeâs burger was mushy to the touch, and we can cut with a knife revealed raw hamburger in the middle.
It just went downhill from here. We called our waitress over and explained to her that the burgers were undercooked and that we could not eat them. The waitress offered to take our plates in which we thought she would bring new hamburgers. When the waitress took the hamburgers we asked what she was going to do to satisfy the order, and she stated that the burgers would be cooked more. When we inquired as to what she meant because the burgers had been dressed with toppings and condiments, she stated that they are going to cook them some more. My wife expressed her concern for cooking already eaten food and why we would not be given a freshly cooked hamburger.
It gets worse from here⌠My wife went to the bar and spoke to the manager, quietly and privately as to avoid any embarrassment. The manager listened and said the situation was unacceptable and my wife returned the table. A few moments later another âmanagerâ showed up at our table. She was rude! She stated that the burgers will be re-cooked, in the oven, and that this was standard operating procedure for them. She stated that County approves of this method of re-cooking already touched and eating food. We expressed that this was disgusting, and did not seem very sanitary especially in todayâs Covid climate.
Our waitress reapproach the table. She seemed very apologetic and was actually emotionally upset about the entire experience. She also informed us that our meal would be free. We are writing this review simply because we feel that the way that they approached the handling of the food after we had partly eaten it.
We are all about trying smaller businesses, and locally run shops. But we will not return to this facility. It has nothing to do with the way the food was cooked, it has 100% to do with the way the âmanagementâ handled the situation. The management made it seem like we had done something wrong, and that we were the reason that the meal was unsatisfactory. This is unacceptable by all means, even with them âgiftingâ us our food that we could not eat, that we...
Read moreMy party stood at the front door for 12 min while the hostess looked down at a paper she was reading. She then acknowledged us and said she would be with us in a minute. 5 min later she seated us. We sat there 9 min with no waiter finally the hostess came by and offered us drinks. 15 more minutes went by and a waitress came and said she would be with us in a minute. 10 minutes later she came and took our order. 35 min later she came back and said it shouldnât be much longer. After 10 I asked her just to bag up the food to go. She came back 10 later with the food. The orders were completely wrong and the food was burnt and hard. The rest of my part went to the car I stayed to speak to the manager along with that food. The waitress came back to ask for me to pay the check I in returned ask for the manager. I was informed that there was no manager and that I could speak to the cook. I informed her that the order was wrong and the food was not anything we could eat and that I would not be paying for it. I left the food on the table and walked out. As I was leaving I could hear the waitress yelling âafter we did all that they donât even want any of itâ. I have ate there many times of the years and never had that kind...
Read moreI have been there 3 times to make sure my first visit was representative of the restaurant. In the evening the front part of the restaurant is kind of dark. I had the ribeye steak. I ordered it medium rare. I ordered a baked potato and salad. There are two types of ribeye steak, thick and thin. They serve the thin version. It took over 20 minutes to deliver my steak. It was overcooked and tough. The baked potato was overcooked and dry no matter how much butter and sour cream I added. I was the only person in restaurant; the salad bar was very lean. I had sweet tea with my meal. The waitress only stopped by my table once after my steak and tea were delivered.
My second visit I had the same thing. It turned out the same. The steak was half gristle. This meal cost about $30.
The third time I was at a luncheon with a group of people. I had a chicken wrap. It was good, but I ended up with food poisoning by the end of the day.
A week later I went to Ruby Tuesday's across the street. I had the same meal (steak/salad/backed potato) for half the price. It was perfect.
My recommendation: pass Ribeye's and go to...
