Found Serrano's on my way home from Branson to KC. This is probably the best Mexican food I've had since moving to MO from Los Angeles, where there is no shortage of great options. Food is as authentic as it gets, and all recipes are of the family that owns it. Very reminiscent of the cooking of that I used to enjoy by my Guadalajara born mother-in-law. The Father does the cooking from what I could tell, while mom and teen son take care of the guests, at least on the day I was there. From the warm, friendly service to the excellent meal (which made me very sleepy on my drive home actually), I would visit this place any time I'm driving through, and may make a special trip every now and then...
Read moreGot told good things about this place , but the food was super bland; especially the rice. My husband and I ordered 2 large margaritas and drank some of it. We looked down and discovered fruit flies floating in both of our drinks.🤢 I even showed our waitress and she was very sorry. They were nice enough to not make us pay for them. I just hope the other girl believed us because she went to check everything out; after my husband told her to check her bottles. She only was gone a few seconds and was already back out serving other people margaritas . I don't think we will be back especially with a 45 minute drive; just a very disappointing meal...
Read moreFirst time visiting and it was absolutely amazing. I got 3 meals for about 36$, so the price is great. Service was amazing, only had to wait 5min tops. (Probably was more like 2) The food was great, you can really taste the homemade in it! They give you so much food too! You'd almost definitely have leftovers. Chicken was absolutely divine. The plates come out at the perfect temp too, hot but won't burn your mouth, you can dig in right away! The homemade chips and salsa? Chips, wonderful. Salsa was also good, in spicy terms I'd say it's more of a mild spicy....
