The Country Kitchen On Wheels/ Food Truck — Restaurant in Clinton

I’d love to give this place five stars based on the food - everything my husband and I have tried has been lovely. The only issue lies in the service here. Not the people themselves, all the ladies seem very charming, but the place is criminally understaffed. It usually takes a very long time to get through the buffet line, get our drinks, etc - while the servers are busy handling other customers/answering the phones etc...On multiple visits I almost find myself feeling bad for the little red-headed girl or the older lady that usually serves us on the buffet line, they’re very kind but it almost always seems like they are the only workers there! It’s a great spot food wise - would definitely reccomend the baked chicken/ beef tips and rice/ the amazing fried broccoli! We keep coming back for the delicious lunch, but I think it needs to be said that more staff would benefit this place. They don’t seem equipped to handle the amount of business...

Lawd Have Mercy on my stomach!!! You talking about home cooked food with more than enough on your plate to feed 2. I think I need a nap. Neck Bones, mixed greens, mac and cheese, corn bread, corn on the cob and another plate for just $5.00. The staff was wonderful, friendly, informative and so hospitable. Im from Detroit and meals like these would have cost nearly $50.00. OH I forgot dessert came with the meals too. The first one was only $10.00. They say from 7 pm to 9 pm and the kids eat for .99 cent. If you every in Clinton Mississippi this is a must. They closed on Saturday. If Im ever back here I...

They food today was eatable, but I wont say good. The cornbread muffins were heavy and packy. The yams were tart. The mac and cheese was loaded with way too much black pepper. The smothered pork chops had a twang. The steamed broccoli was tart and could only eat the florets because the stems were not chewable. The fried okra was great. Cabbage was pretty good and mashed potatoes of course were instant and there was not doubt, but I'm okay with instant, though I prefer real. Maybe they just had an off day. Ill try...
