Taqueria El Jimador — Restaurant in Clute

Long post.. do not waste your time your money your energy or your effort on this place.. as soon as I walked in through the door the atmosphere was uninviting, d e a d, musty, unprofessional staff, unclean environment, food was thrown together the presentation was piss poor quesadilla was cold with the cheese still cold and the quesadilla kept falling apart because it would not stick together. I asked for a booth the booth already had a drink on it and food I asked him man to clean the table off he removed the items and then he simply pulled the paper towel out of the paper towel dispenser and wiped it I told him that was unacceptable it needed to be cleaned with chemicals at this point he acted like he did not understand English and he wiped the table three times before the customers and everyone else realized we were upset because he did not properly clean the table. They charged me for items that I did not purchase I was overcharged for things the menu said one price they charge you another and then they say they don't understand English.. the waitress told me that it was not my problem that the hamburger meat had carrots in it and she walked off I refuse to pay for the meal and she got mad she did not inform us of anything on the menu her answers was I don't know I don't know and every time we ask a question she had an attitude customer service was poor between her and the other mail servers restaurant was dirty this is nothing like the El Jimador in Angleton that location receives a 10 this location they need to shut down customer service is sorry the food is not up to par like it is in Angleton apparently nobody speaks English enough to understand anything every time you ask a question they say I do not know I do not understand when we ask for items to be removed from our ticket they became mad we asked for a refill on our drink they became mad.. I could have spent my $65 across the street in El Toro where I know my needs are going to be met and I'm going to receive excellent customer service. This place is open just to say that they have two locations because everything is piss poor customer service food location atmosphere cleanliness the drinks or watered down the margarita has no tequila in it.. I suggest if you prefer to waste $65 I prefer to go give it to a homeless man where I know that it will beneficial. Haven't been back in 6 years because of the horrible experience I had last time I ate those bland tacos. I bit into a taco and felt something sharp dig into my gum and found what looked like a piece of cheap counter top in my taco! When I went to bring it to their attention the women seemed oblivious and unapologetic. She even went so far as to say "Want us to make you more tacos then?". Needless to say I refused her snarky offer and asked to speak to a manager, he wasn't any better, same bad attitude and no apology for the horrible experience. I eventually got my money back but it was a struggle just for that.

I am truly amazed people still eat at this place and every new person I tell is one more person I save from horrible service, possible food poisoning, or from chocking on some random object. I'll take my business to El Toro or La Casa any day over this dump of...

This place is still only second to El zarape's in Brazoria in the 90s because of nostalgia or nostalgic memories now that I'm an adult and I can enjoy alcoholic beverages and order something besides cheese enchiladas it honestly has a better appeal to my adult mind than El zarape's did the food is amazing just flat out flavorful and authentically crafted with a more text mex than Max but authentic Mexican flavor the ambiance especially on a Friday or Saturday night amazing karaoke while you eat listening to authentic Mexican corridos same to you in beautiful Spanish hard-working voices of your fellow citizens and statesman being able to smoke at the bar in the back in the restaurant the bathrooms are artistically done the dining areas including the booths are spaces worthy of a mention and the manager is just a friendly well-spoken gentleman all around five star...
