I come in once a week or so and am always happy with the experience. I feel good supporting this local business as it came from a great cause and has a nice story. I’m always treated well by staff and appreciate the warm and inviting vibe this shop has. There is good energy here. The other patrons are always kind, friendly and respectful. All the food I’ve tried has been delicious and high quality. All the beverages I’ve tried has also been great and I regularly drink the drip, espresso and latte drinks. I get a lot of work done here and this is a focused environment but also keep in mind that during peak times it’s a popular hangout and business meeting place so it will get much louder but that is short lived. Generally the volume is not too bad and does not disturb others either. I happy and will keep coming back! There is ample parking and the bathrooms are clean and accessible....

After paying for my tea, I was given a cup of tea water and instructed to pick out my tea at the front of the cashier. Since I had to pull them out to see what tea they were, it took me awhile to find the right one.
As I turned around, an employee came over and confronted me asking if I had paid for the tea with a very stern face. When I told her yes, she just turned around and left.
I can only imagine what she was insinuating and frankly, as an asian woman, I have had enough of these encounters to know what she was trying to say. Here’s a tip, if you’re worried about people stealing tea bags from you, why don’t you try putting them behind...
Read moreTasteful and stylish interior. Plenty of light from the wall of windows if you want to read or study. The fireplace adds a cozy element during cold or rainy weather. The orange mocha though was the "pièce de résistance"! You must try the orange mocha!! The knocked my socks off, with the shavings of real orange zest. There used to be this local ice cream shop in Issaquah (Far-Far's) that made their own ice cream. Chocolate orange chip was the cat's meow. Likewise, in the 90s "Cafe Counterintelligence" (overlooking Pike Place Market) "had their iced coffee frappe - the Tangier Taxi But alas, neither are no longer with us. And I haven't found anybody duplicating that flavor until today....
