El Habanero Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Clyde

The food was good as always and quickly prepared. We ordered for pickup and was told 10 minutes even on a large order. It was easily done within that amount of time and was bagged and ready for us when we arrived to pick up. The staff was kind and nice as they always are. The down fall is being able to get order properly understood as to what you want and the cost of items. We asked for a big side of queso and was given a small plastic container that cost $4.50. I then was told next size was 16 oz. I requested that but was hard communicating with the staff about what I wanted and then the cost. I wish I would have known that was over 15 dollars for that. Especially since I only go to small bags of chips even though I requested more. Overall this restaurant does have quick service and good quality food. Great food and service, until I got my check and here the waitress charged me for each shrimp. I didn’t want steak, never let me know there was going to be a $11 add on to what I ordered or I wouldn’t have substituted anything. Then we asked for boxes and she asked if we wanted salsa and then laughed and said don’t worry I won’t charge you for that! I’ll take the drive to tiffin for what I wanted cheaper! It was great just wish she would have said this is what the price difference will be if you substitute, thinking it was going to be $3 more but then it was $11. We have eaten here twice, the first time wasn't very good. the only reason we went back was because the owner of the Mexican restaurant in Tiffin told us it was owned by them. I ordered chicken fajitas and got beef my husband didn't even get all of his meal. We told the waitress and she said ok and left!!! We told the person at the check out and he said ok and still charged us full price! So wrong food, and what we got wasn't very good, crappy waitress, and other service. No we will never go back.
