This is a great hidden gem in Coal City. This easy to pass location offers quite a surprise once viewing the menu….the small but mighty location offers a ton of tantalizing and hearty selections. Obviously made from fresh ingredients, the food is delivered rather quick and hot. The side of onion rings were quite the interesting surprise to me. Everything in the location is photogenic and meticulously plated until you get to the rings. The simplicity on the plate gives you no hint to the crunchy delight you are about to have. I swear, you’ll sound like you are eating a bag of potato chips but once you get through the crispy and not greasy shell, the onion remains (insert another word for moist here— haha ). The half pound multi-textured burger was super thick and loaded with the fresh mushrooms promised when ordering the cowboy burger. The chewy bacon and toasted bun added to the layers of flavors. The pork tenderloin sandwich was also a crispy hit, I’m told. I never veered from my burger to try the pork tenderloin sandwich across the table. I do have to mention that’s neighboring table ordered the Vesuvio and it looked amazing and she said it was better than it looked. Pepsi products are served and only one refill is allowed. The cute mason jars are on the larger size, so the limitations aren’t as scary...

Well after wanting to go here for the longest time I finally went and tried out their lunch and let me say it won't be the last time that I'm there. The place itself looks really small on the outside but it's actually got a lot of room as far as tables and it's really cozy inside and just very nice. Our waitress was right to our table asking us what we want to drink asking us if we had any questions. I was quite surprised on how much was on the menu and the prices are pretty good too. So as far as the food we had the loaded potato skins that were phenomenal and they actually cut up steak and put it on top and it was so good and the steak was really tender and tasty. And then for my lunch I had the Hawaiian burger which was something different but it was phenomenal. So to recap places nice service is awesome and the food was just as good and I can't wait to go back to try out some other things and I'll be bringing a bunch of new people with me. I really hope people in the town support this and I really hope people outside of the town find out about it and go try it and support you guys cuz you...

I really wanted this place to be good. As a local guide I root for the small businesses out there in my community, but I have to be fair. I ordered their Coal City Burger and Jalepeno Mac. The burger was supposed to be medium but as you can see, it's under a bit. Also the meat is 100% unseasoned. No flavor coming from it at all. The bacon was hard and hanging 2in out of each side of the bun. The undercooked patty was dripping juices and it caused the bun to be soaked. This usually happens when you cook from frozen. The Mac had no jalapeƱos in it but their was a hint of heat coming from it. Also it was a bit watery for my liking. The restaurant is clean but very cramped with bad lighting. Please guys, do better! Your menu looks awesome but we need a consistent cook on the food and some flavors! This burger wasn't even in the same class as a burger from Babe's just down the street. I couldn't get half way through eating it and still reluctantly gave you a 3star review. I struggled to find something I...

The food was amazing! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap & it came out really quick. Prices are bit high which deterred me from getting an appetizer. The waitress didn't ask if the three of us wanted separate check but this was an easy & quick fix. Overall the food was great, service was quick & I made it out of there with a meal plus a beer for about $25 with tip. Side note, I would recommend calling ahead if your planning on going with a group larger than four people. Seating is limited.
