Second time here, and the last.
First time, my father and I stopped in for lunch. We stood around for a while before we were half heartedly greeted by a waitress with dead eyes. She looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. After we ordered, the waitress returned & told me they didn't have the ingedients for my order. I chose another dish. Lunch came. It was passable but lack luster. We left unsure if we wanted to return.
Tonight life conspired to prevent cooking at home. We called in an order for myself and my elderly parents. 5 minutes later I recieved a call back from the restaurant. They do not have the ingredients for the dish I ordered. This is not the dish that they didn't have ingredients for the last time. I punt & order shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas.
My father & I go to Hardesters and buy some hardware. We then drive over to the retaurant and wait 10 minutes before going in. Old dead eyes avoids greeting me for several minutes. Food is not ready. 5 minutes later I am presented with two very full bags of food. At home, I served the food to my folks. My fajitas are not there. Neither are the chips & guacamole that my folks wanted.
I return to the restaurant. Dead eyes seems to sense that something is afoot and asks if I need something. I tell her that I need my shrimp fajitas & side of guacamole & chips. "Just a minute" she says, and disappears into the kitchen. She reappears and has someone else's dinner in her hand. She delivers it to a table. Another waitress appears with a to go bag seemingly stuffed. She presents it to me and delivers the most perfunctory apology while turning around and looking around the restaurant. (3 occupied tables)
Once home, I open my food. There is a nice side of guacamole. I give that to the old folks. My fajitas & my rice & beans look ok. No tortillas. No chips. Nice. I decide to just eat it without tortillas. The shrimp are luke warm yet tough & rubbery. The rice was too salty to eat.
I will not waste one more thin dime on these people. I am looking forward to the next restaurant that opens here...
Read moreWe are new to the Hidden-Valley-Lake area and are so completely elated to have found this little gem!!! We went during happy hour so service was just Little slow, nothing to complain about at all, and especially after receiving our order!!! I had the wet carne asada super Burrito, and man oh man it was very good, home made tortilla, also chips made in house came with complementary bwana dip, and the salsa was fresh and tasty! Wife had the shredded chicken Burrito said it was also very good. We will definitely be back as this is now the closest Mexican near our new home. Highly recommend if...
Read moreOrdered food and Virgin Margarita I was very specific Virgin...with my 24+ month old son drove from Pope Valley also being sober for year and half still severed me alcohol magarita...I literally finished half of it before I realized it was not virgin. My sobriety was ruined and I had to wait like an hour before I went home and it was already almost dusk. The worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. I could if given my son a drink of this "virgin" drink thank God I didn't. As a server you literally have to hover a bartender with virgin drinks it's very easy for them to serve it...
